A nice skinny 7x36, but had a perfect draw,burn and construction in spite of the small rg.

Extremely tasty. Have just recently discovered FdYC, and have had fair number now and all that have been excellent in every regard.

Just received 3 ten packs of different vitolas and wrappers yesterday that I had just ordered Friday morning!

How's that for fast processing and shipping time?

Wish every vendor was like that.

Plus got another thank you card from Arturo Fuente jr. Make a neat display item to add to my cigar decorating motif in my room to make it more homey and less institutional. Need more wall hanger item though. They are still pretty bare.

Carlos Torano Signature Collection Torpedo

Excellent taste

Draw was excellent but for some reason required several puffs to get any smoke.

Burn was uneven and required a few corrections

Coal was extremely large and smoke was hot

Construction, unsure but I suspect it was the cause of the problems, just don't know how

Avoid Syncro Nicaragua Toro

Pretty good taste.

A little on the fuller side than I prefer.

Excellent draw and burn.

Unsure on construction as the entire wrapper started to come off immediately after cutting, and there was plenty of cap left. Required a fair bit of glue to repair.

Tatuaje Havana VI Almirantes Churchill

Extremely tasty, just like I have come to expect from Tatuaje.

Excellent draw, burn needed 1 correction.

Construction-wise, as soon as I cut it, and there was plenty of the cap left, the entire wrapper came loose. Took a fair bit of gluing to fix it, which is why I always cut, test draw and use a draw tool if needed on my cigars at least an hour before smoking so in case it needs some glue, it has time to dry.

It was pretty good through the first half. Couldn't say I got any barreled rum notes, but there was something nice going on with the corojo. The corojo spice was a bit sharp and may've masked the rum/barrel. The 2/3 seemed to want to burn quicker - wasn't getting a good burn around the wrapper the binder area. Tossed it near the 3/3 as it wasn't good, but I'd check it out again and I did enjoy the first 1/2.

I remember having the American BA, and there was a good amount of whiskey going on, and recall really enjoying it.

I'd ask about the Protocol, but last time I asked you were like 5 boxes deep - so I'm gonna say you're enjoying.

That's a great way to spend a sunny day! I put a small (4.5#) half pork butt in the crock pot for pulled pork. The liquid used is Coca Cola. Never tried it before, but it had great reviews with almost 1 million views on YouTube. We will see how it goes. I hope you post a pic of your ribs and wings along with your next smoke.

LFD Dominicana Ligero L-Granu

At 6x64, my first of the really big rg cigars. Was very surprised it fit in my cutter, but just barely. Also have a 70rg Alec Bradley Texas Lancero that I will have to use my punch on for my very first time since it won't fit my cutter.

Very tasty with lots of smoke volume as you could guess from such a large rg.

About a mild-medium and full hour smoke time

Perfect draw,burn and construction too

Probably won't buy any as I just didn't really enjoy the feeling of the large rg in my hand or mouth.

Flat, plain and empty, aside from some bitterness, which is by far the most off-putting thing a cigar can have to me.

Tried to soldier on, but just couldn't take any more at the halfway point.

Probably my favorite of the DC's I have had, but the God of Fires and Eye of the Shark may top it. Haven't tried either yet but planning to smoke them over the upcoming holidays, so we'll see

They have very much the same conditions to grow tobacco as Dominican Republic and Cuba. DR is only 75 miles away. I know there are a few PR cigars, but we never hear anything about them or hear about PR grown tobacco.

The weather was GREAT! Temps 75-90 degrees every day, it sprinkled for about 15 min one day, otherwise that sun was a scorcher! And I burn easy so I was hanging out in the shade.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in San Juan. It was a 5-10 min walk to the beach. And about a 5 min walk to a main strip where there a bunch of eateries and other hotels.
We took the bus into Old San Juan one day and that's where we saw most of the damage from the hurricanes. Quite a few stores boarded up. And there was only 1 cruise ship in the port, so somewhat deserted.
As for Puerto Rican cigars, I don't know. We stopped in and had a smoke at Casa de Montecristo while in Old San Juan and everything that they had was Nicaraguan or Dominican. So if they have Puerto Rican made cigars, I didn't see any. And I guess since they are a US commonwealth they don't carry Cubans.

Finally decided to tackle this 7x70 beast. Amazed it fit in my cutter. Was sure I'd be using my punch for the first time.

Very tasty, about a mild-medium, and great draw and smoke volume as you could have guessed.

Perfect construction. Burn was constantly off inspite of multiple corrections, so just gave up try to fix it. Wasn't a big deal anyway.

We had a good time, but to be honest, when I go on vacation I like the resort life! Time to get away from the big city, sit back and relax.
The rainforest was an excursion that a few wanted to go on, but we got sidetracked taking over the pool and never made it.
We were 30 deep! And told a couple of times that they couldn't accommodate our party.
Thankfully the hotel's breakfast was a good spread and the one restaurant in the hotel had a somewhat extensive menu and the food was good and stayed open late.

Diamond Crown Maduro Robusto No.3

Very tasty as always and definitely well aged based on how yellowed the cellophane was. Guy who bombed me with them couldn't recall when he got them but said probably 10 years ago.

I believe it. Very smooth and mellow, but still very flavorful for being a mild-medium at most.

Perfect draw,burn and construction as always too.

Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Corona Doble

Mild, smooth and mellow but not so much as to be bland or tasteless, in the first half. Picked up significantly in the second half to a medium-full or more. Lots of rich, flavorful smoke.

Burn was pretty bad, which I don't recall being a typical problem with these, inspite of many corrections. Just kept being uneven by a good inch at least.

Burn and construction were fine as always though.

Unsure of the age, but the one with cellophane are pretty yellow. I believe I was told they are around 10 years.

Smoke these pretty often as I was generously gifted quite a few of them from the admin and friend, on another forum. Actually, he was out of town for work at the time and his cigar smoking wife chose what to bomb me with and chose a whole bunch of these. Excellent smokes so I'm certainly not complaining.

No idea how they are young, but these are typically great in every regard

The Decade Lonsdale is one of my favorite sticks. I have never successfully cut one in a way that prevented the cap from unraveling but the flavor is worth the hassle for me.

Nicaraguan Torpedo Seconds

Excellent smoke.

Very tasty, just the right amount of spiciness and definitely strong and full flavored, but not overwhelmingly so.

Even cosmetically, I don't know why they would be seconds.

It is! My wife got me pushed down that hill a while back. I quickly went from extract kits to all grain batches of self made recipes. I enjoy math, science, cooking and beer, so it’s a great combo. I mostly brew Belgian styles but I make a bit of everything except IPAs and sours.
