No pic taken, but I had a neighbor from across the street come over for a visit and listen to some tunes last night. He saw a cigar cutter on the table and asked if I smoked cigars. He said he has just recently started. We both enjoyed an Opus Oscuro Oro and he commented it was awesome and much better than what he has smoked to date. He enjoyed the music also.

Definitely needed a longer nap, like you said. Pulled it out with it only having been in the tuppie for a month from Cigarbid, and it smoked ok in the first 1/2 for it being pretty wet. Near the 3/3 it was almost unsmokable, so I tore it open and it was indeed very moist. I would say...if your end up getting one in the mail anytime soon - give it till fall at a minimum.

5 weeks!!! Wow, I've only been our that long after having surgery!
But the single picture speaks volumes. Must have been a beautiful experience.
I see that pic and immediately think of Syria. I Google'd Syria before the bombing. It was a sight to see. A truly beautiful place. I think it's a shame what they did to their own country with later help.

This one seemed a little under filled. It was a little soft and the ash dropped off unexpectedly every half inch or less, usually onto my chest or lap. Burned a hole in my shirt. I think nearly all cigar smokers have shirts or jackets with burn holes.
Flavor profile was still very good and burn was even.

My Father La Antiquedad Box Pressed Toro 5.63x55.
Found this cigar where it had been hibernating in a tobacco Jar, think I stashed a Maduro My Father cigar it there. Well as long as it hadn't morphed into a Ghurka should still be OK. Once lit the burn went wildly wavy. Several touch ups later it came around, tho never really even. Did smoke Ok, so in the end as annoying as the relights were,not tossing it was the right move. When some of the wrapper burned off saw the exposed binder was red. First time seeing that in any My Father or Pepin Garcia cigar. Any of You other Bums know anything about red hued binder leaf?

Monday Afternoon.
Freyja Sessrumnir Corona Larga 5.75x42.
Liked the artwork on the cigar's band,now looking closely am more impressed by how well the framed portion works as it appears to be raised above the band,details aplenty and the colors work well together. Ok, like most Cigarbums I don't smoke the bands Like this one tho. The cigar itself is very well constructed,with an attractive wrapper and a just right feel in the hand.Once cut and lit,easy light there's that 'note' that sez this is not a light smoking air cigar. Maybe it is a mild medium, but there is that bite that sez medium plus. Retrohale confirms that idea...it ain't one to puff too deeply and quickly on.No clouds of heavy or creamy smoke,creamy smoke? Just as there's something about *that* girl....there's something out of the usual in the taste/flavour of this Freyja. Retrohales all the way along to the nub were right there with that hint of power. To Sum up.This single cigar has convinced Me to pick up at least a fiver of them. Might not be a cigar You'd smoke several of each and every day. But once week You would find one in Your hand.The cello on this cigar was yello. While it might not Your #1 cigar. Might be not far off that mark.Yeah enjoyed it a lot. Thank You Tombstone for sending Me this one along with another Freyja cigar in an unexpected,unexpected,but very much appreciatedBOMB. Freyja has jumped right up there on My gotta get some list.

Update: Forgot to mention that the Burn Time. was Seventy Four Minutes. If smoked a little more slowly could've added another three minutes . Nice sharp burn all the way never needed a touch up, could not ask for a more even or better burn.

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature

Extremely tasty as always and perfect draw and burn, construction however was not good.

As soon as I lit it, 3/4 of the wrapper peeled loose.

Think that's a first for me for any Fuentes.
Typically they are excellent in every regard.

I have a few Fuente Hemingway's like that I was generously gifted. They are pretty close to the Classic vitola but a jet black Maduro wrapper and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer, and was never released.

Brick House Maduro Robusto

Age unknown, but the cellophane was extremely yellow, so definitely had some age

Very tasty and great burn,draw and most things construction-wise.

Wrapper was very thin and was flaking around the cut and where I was holding it. Otherwise, it was fine.

Overall a pretty good smoke

Completely different cigar in my opinion, not even similar. They say it uses the same binder/filler as the original and just a different wrapper. If that is true, this is the perfect example of how much effect the wrapper leaf has on the flavor profile of a cigar. For me, the original was all light citrus notes and a bit of pepper while the Escuro is super dark and earthy with a bit of coffee. But they are both fantastic in their own way

Unsure of age, but the cellophane had a definite yellow tint to it, so its had a bit.

On the milder side, but quite a bit of great taste still and perfect draw,burn and construction.

Quite powerful. Definitely had to really slow my pace down and take smaller puffs to avoid it being too much.

For strong , full flavor lovers, this is probably right up your alley, for those of us who prefer mild or medium, not so much.

Point noted and I will have to get some. Because as you stated, the citrus flavors of the original was the draw for me. So if the oscuro wrapper changes it that much, I have to check it out. And I love a good oscuro cigar!

For $2.50 a pop, these are possibly gems - hopefully my next encounter will be a fuller experience, but I believe it will deliver better with a good 3 month minimum rest. Gonna try to go for at least a fiver, hopefully more, on my next Cigarbid run.

Give the Tapatalk app a shot. Had the same issues, and you'll use up your Bum storage allotment quickly. I believe the app is free up till so much space per month. For $1/mo it's unlimited and well worth it.

The R44 is up there when it comes to my favorite Fuente sticks. If you haven’t already give their Casa Cuba line a try. Tony turned me onto them a while back and they are fantastic. I’m a proud Fuente “whore” I guess you could say, I have yet to find one I didn’t like.
