Very tasty and one of the few old favorites I have enjoyed after trying them again after my year or so hiatus from nc's.

Didn't care for most of the favorites I had left over for some reason.

Glad I found another one that I still enjoyed. Was a little worried that I had lost my taste for nc's entirely.

Wanting to get back into them to add more variety to my supply, and just felt like I was missing out on some great smokes by smoking only cc's.

Would not call the Protocol a "lil" cigar lot of tobacco in that 5x52 size, I don't or can't get all the nuances that many smokers do,anyway can not put a name to most changes I am able to pick up.
That said,this Protocol Taser sure does have a spiciness, makes for a neat retrohale. Excellent construction, attractive wrapper,lighting the non-fuse end is all that's needed to start smoking a cigar that needed no touch ups or relights even burn all the way. So.........Yeah I sure did enjoy this cigar, Thanks again for sending me a pair of the Protocol Tasers Alan.

but the second time out smoking, closer to daylight, never even noticed how dark it was. Now having read what You wrote, seems it was a bit darker than usual, power of suggestion rather than real memory? Anyway I was in a spot that time where trees block sight of the Moon.

Honestly, it’s hard to choose. They’re both superb in their own right, IMO. But yeah, I could see a nod to the natural as the favorite.

Smoking a Perdomo ESV Sungrown.
Enjoying it a lot. I've had few opportunities to smoke here lately. Just returned from a trip to Savannah, GA. Beautiful city and a nice place to visit, but they are not smoking friendly there. The city ordinances prevent anyone from smoking indoors, so even the cigar/pipe shops cannot have a lounge.
I managed to get in one at the hotel and one more at the beach, but that was it.

So this is hitting the spot.

Smoked a fair number of the Zino's about 10 years ago when I smoked mainly nc's.

So have had this before, just never this particular size

Excellent in every regard.

Great taste and perfect draw,burn and construction. Even the appearance was outstanding. Nearly invisible seams and only a couple very thin veins.

Perfect size too. Smoked for exactly an hour, which is what I prefer

I’m so heartbroken. It looks like DoC went under. The guy who runs it (ran it?) had some deep seated personal troubles that finally sunk the Dreams of Cuba ship. I stocked up on some sandwich smokes from them and I still have a few lancies and churchills but man it sucks. They were my go to regional blend. Now I gotta find something new.

MUWAT Bait Fish

Strong flavored little sucker, with great burn,draw and construction.

A little to overpowering to the palate for me, just like the opus x and anejos I tried several months ago, that I used to love.

Appears my palate and likes/dislikes have changed over the last year smoking cc's almost exclusively

Saturday Morning Cigar.
Surrogates Tramp Stamp 5.25x48.
Could not wait to smoke this cigar sent to me by Chaingang,haven't had one of these in some time, wondering how it would measure up to My memories of the cigar. The answer(s) maybe a slight, very slight degree stronger, but just as tasty and even smoother, the wrapper had a much silkier feel. Do wish I'd checked burn time because it lasted a lot longer than expected. Pepin Garcia somehow manages to keep making cigars that vary darn little from year to year, the crops must vary, but He works His magic when blending to a precise note. Thanks much Matt for sending me this one in My MAW, along wide a great selection and variety of other fine cigars.

Honestly, a review is way out of My reach. While sometimes do pick up on some of the flavour changes while smoking a cigar can't put a name to them, and am sure I miss most.
