I haven't tapped into it yet! I almost wrote something about it in that last post, but decided against it. Gotta get a new grinder, and I've meaning to get one since you gifted me. Had an old shitty blade grinder, but I tossed it shortly before Christmas. I'll let you know, and I'll send you half if you're interested.No need to send me any, I was just curious. Plus right now I'm only allowed to smell coffee as it gives me a real beat down.

Thursday Evening late smoke.
Esteban Carreas Mr. Brownstone Smack Maduro Toro 6x52.
I'd forgotten that these were Maduros, Maduro Monday On Thursday,nope. Since there are, were, only two of them , been picking other cigars,fially gave in and burnt one tonight.
Not certain of burn time, but pretty sure was five or ten minutes longer than the My Father The Judge Toro smoked earlier.
Not a big fan of most Maduros, but do enjoy those from E. Carreas. Most burn pretty nicely and have enuff pepper spice that I do like in a smoke.

Indeed I did Bob, very much. I tend to like most of their offerings, with very few exception. Even those I think I need to go back and revisit, to make sure.

What did you think of it. I believe those have at least 5 years age on those since I have got those and I was told they had been around the store for a while. I always found that Rocky to have a pretty strong coffee taste to it for a non infused cigar.

This was a brand I smoked some here and there early on, and I've been meaning to return, so your stick made it happen. Thanks!

I wasn't really paying attention to the flavors, as I was knee deep in my car's manual, and double checking correct part numbers off two different sites - but I enjoyed it.

There's a bit of a taste that, to me, seems a little fermented/musty/sour in the 1/3 that's not really pleasing, but nor is it bad - it's kinda an off-taste that isn't something I care for. Melds in nicely, though, and became better. The rest was a decent smoke, and the stick burned well. Thanks again!

Always good to revist cigars from time to time. Glad it was not a total turd. I really enjoy the Rocky Patel CTs but find most of their cigars ok at best. The Flor De San Andreas is his finest imo.

She deals, actually told me to have another lol. If you put the windows down the right way she shouldn't get the smoke at all. It greatly helped though that I had just taken her to visit grandkids and she was in a particularly good mood.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkThe unbanded stick from me was a Lianos Dos Palmas. They're rolled in Charleston, SC; and that vitola is probably around the size of the Yellow Cake - a bit smaller than a robusto. Reviewed it a while back - it may help determine what you smoked.

Very slow burning, good construction Toro size,heavy cigar not sure of burn time,but more than two hours for sure.

San Cristobal Revelation Box Pressed Mystic 5.6x48.
Sumatra, Sumatra, do indeed like a good Sumatra wrapper, and that's why I like the Mystic so much.Oddly this is the first one in quite long while. Keep meaning to get some, wind up with something else. Smoke this one pretty much ROTT, did take time to bring the pkg inside,open it up grab one and light it, about twelve minutes from Mailbox to first toke. Despite that long resting/aging time the cigar smoked OK. Better than merely OK, darn nicely. Heavy non stop rain that limited Me to just this one cigar today. Burntime: An Hour and Twenty Six Minutes.

Fuente from My secret Santa, Old Smokey. Fuente Fuente Opus X Petie Lasncero 6.25x39.
Second fro the left in this pix, should have a photo one this cigar alone, but sorry I don't good looking cigar in a nice size, easy light, no need to touch up or relight, while these may not have a unique taste, they are not at all like any of the cigars I usually smoke. Can't 'put a name' to the taste or flavour,but know it's there, and it's very nice.
Burn time: Two Hours and Three Minutes. A long smoke,I do often smoke rather slowly, did so with this beauty to get the most out it as I could. Thanks for sending me this very enjoyabe gem Steve (Secret Santa.)

How was that oneNeed to come back to it. I believe it needed to dry out a bit. The draw was a little tight, but I figured it would be ok. Seemed to burn wierd and I wasn't getting good smoke. From what I did get, it seems like a very nice stick - tad fruity, juicy - reminded me of some PDRs, and nice pepper. Became tarry, so I tossed it about 1/4-1/3 in.

The TT I am enjoying so far. Have had the blue band and really enjoy them. Hoping the same for the Red Band TT.

Also tried to smoke and HdM Epi 1 today as well but it was a super tight draw and it blew up while I was trying to work it out. Guess it just wasn’t my day for the Epi.

Crowned Heads Las Mareas Tuberia by Don Pepin Garcia 4.5x48.
That cello is a dark, very dark now brown. good deal of age on them, very nice smoke in a good size,need to get more of these.

Henry Clay Rustic Cheroot

This thing always makes me chuckle. Not rustic, and certainly not a “cheroot.” Matter of fact, capped and closed footed means it’s objectively the farthest thing from a cheroot. Still a very good smoke though.

This is the first Micallef I’ve noticed posted here. I’ve seen them before but I’d never had any exposure to em. The price tag always kept me at arms length.

I think this was $10. There's A LOT of competition at that price point. I'm not sure if it warrants that price, but it was very enjoyable and something I'd definitely smoke again. Sometimes it's worth it just to smoke something completely new.

I don’t know how great my mind is, but having similar great taste helps too, imho

For the first time in a while I decided to learn to play a song that isn’t the Grateful Dead. My wife and I were watching Thor Ragnarok last night, and that scene when he gets his full strength and the Immagrant Song by Led Zeppelin comes on is always a great moment in the movie. Sorry started to geek out.

Anyhow I decided tonight to learn to play it on guitar. I know it’s a simple no solo song and short, but I’m betting fun to play.

That’s the not so short story of what I’m smoking on yet another beautiful Saturday afternoon, it seemed appropriate.
