So how did you enjoy the super shot?I thought real Texas cowboy chili was thermonuclear and generated it's own heat, and microwaving it would cause a worse meltdown than Chernobyl! That's the legend anyways. But, I guess a microwave or stove would be needed if you're not eatting real texas chili. That's not the case...is it?

The Super Shot was pretty good. A bit tamer than I figured, but thought it may be due to your aging. Do you remember the age? I'll write a review for you if you'd like.

Yep. Just a little bit north of downtown. It’s gorgeous inside, the renovation was done very well. The humidor they have isn’t enormous but they are loaded to the gills with Fuentes. They are in a soft open right now but they said they have a bunch of Rare Pinks for sale once the Grand Opening hits. Full bar and multi leveled.

Breaking my own rules; smoking in the house tonight. Too cold even for my patio heater. At least we have snow on the ground. I know, sounds weird, but if it’s going to be cold, I don’t want to look at brown, drab, dried up frozen lawns. Besides, the snow adds a little insulation blanket on the roof.

Figs and raisins on the cold draw - reminded me of the Amazon Basin. First 1/2 inch is peppery, graham crackery, and figy on the retrohale. Awesome lookin stick, and doing damn nice so far.

Chris, I take it you have a butane insert in your Zippo? If so, which one are you using and how do you like it? I have seen Zippo finally came out with a butane insert.

Steve, I have two different inserts. Both of them are Thunderbird, one is a single flame torch, and the other is a soft flame, for pipes/cigars
I have Had them for a while now, never an issue. Pretty sure I got them on Amazon, hth
I believe they come in dual torch as well. I just looked on Amazon, they have the dual torch zippo brand insert for the same price as the Thunderbird. Might be worth checking into also.

Thursday Afternoon smoke.
A really fine cigar with a good amount of age, just look at that cello colour! only a slight trace of the pepper even on the first retrohale , very smooth and favourful. This was a gift from My Secret Santa Steve, asnyone who thinks aging is not helpful to to the way good non Cubans smoke has got be wrong the proof is there. Burn time was Ninety Four Minutes of pleasure. Thanks much for this one Steve and for the great selection of fine cigars.

By the way, I recall a store owner telling me to ignore the yellow cello on some of the cigars, it was due to some using a cheap cellophane, that didn't matter since the cigars were ok.

My dad asks about Te Amo cigars every time we visit a B&M so I figured I’d order some for us for when he finally kicks the VID. It’s dirt cheap for a box of ten so why not, I mean San Andreas Maduro is one of my favorite wrappers. Not gonna lie, right out of the box, they smoke like a “rough around the edges” $3 cigar but looking down the road a bit, I’m sure they will be a lot better after a decent nap.

The closed foot on this cigar in addition to making the lighting up fast & easy, may contribute to the very consistent quality of the burn in the sense of the foot not containing more moisture than, say the second half. Any do like the closed foot on a good cigar., and these HR's ain't bad smokes. Burned a good long while but didn't check the duration. Oh, almost forgot the cigar in the picture is, I think, the smaller size Signature Hermoso.

You know thats a nice little cheapie its not a great stick pretty 1 dimensional but not bad flavor wise.
