Thanks,

You make it super difficult to bomb you when you don't have an address in your profile :(

If U PM me your address, I can send you a couple samples.
Re drug store pipe tobaccos, I think this point is this - it's not like cigars. Pretty much any cigar that you buy from a drug store or anywhere not in a humidor, is going to be junk. But with pipe tobacco, there's a much wider range of tastes among pipe smokers, and also a much wider range of what an individual pipe smoker would consider good tobacco. So this would include OTC pouch tobacco in many cases.
I'm not much into pouch tobacco as it's often aromatic and heavy on the cavendish, which is not my taste, and it tends to be overly damp with humectant, but of the 40 or 50 jars/tins in my cabinet, about 4 or 5 are pouch tobaccos.

I'm with Bruce.
There are a couple of OTC blends that I like, but not many. If you like cavendish heavy blends great, but I can't stand them.
If I'm in a Burley mood (not often) I'll have some PA or Carter Hall. I also have a pouch of John Bull which is an English blend that I haven't opened yet
Other than that, I don't care for them. But hey, to each his own. Others like them just fine and that is great.
What are your tastes in cigars? If we know that we may can recommend some blends for you.

I gotcha'. Thank you for the explanation on the pouch tobacco as I'm learning. I still can't figure out which end to put in my mouth.... ;)

I prefer CT Broadleaf wrappers, if that helps....

There isn't much of a straight-up comparison of pipe tobaccos and cigar flavors, but in general if you like full-flavored cigars, you'd probably like the English/Balkan blends.

Great. I too prefer a CT Broadleaf maduro in cigars.
My favorite pipe tobaccos are Vapers. I like the natural sweetness of a maduro stick and Vapers have that natural sweetness. Not the same flavor profile mind you, but the sweetness is there.
St. James Flake, Escudo and Dunhill Elizabethan are my top 3.
