There's a small gap all the way around the joint of the stem and stummel.... dunno

I picked up a pre-Republic Peterson at a flea market when I first got into pipes. Best $20 I've spent since I started, I promise you that.

I have three pre-republic Petes. A straight Canadian, a straight bulldog (same model Nigel Bruce smoked in one of the Sherlock Holmes movies), and a full bend billiard. Great smokers. The best part is that all were gifts! :santagrin:
