I wanna give a big thanks to Heather Usafvetwife for participating in this endeavor, as well as putting in her First Ever review attempt. Another thanks to defetis for one of the sticks. If I knew who sent t'other, my thanks to you as well.
My Review
Wrapper: smells subtly of barnyard and feels silky. Foot gives plain tobacco. Cold draw produces a tingle at the lips, and tastes of earth and hay.
First third: tastes of earth and an undefined pepper note. Aromas of cocoa and black pepper. The 2 sticks together give a strong room note of sweet cocoa.
Second third: tastes of earth and pepper. Aromas of cocoa, black pepper and a rich note.
Final third: tastes of earth and pepper. Finally picked up more, creaminess and a subtle coffee note, like a coffee with cream.
Thoughts: not very complex for an AJ cigar. Very tasty, all the same.
Heather's review
Wrapper: smells sweet.
Foot: smells of tea.
Cold draw: tastes of tea.
First third: tastes of tobacco, tea and a bitterness. Like unsweetened, instant tea. Aromas of cinnamon and spice.
Second third: tastes of instant, burnt tea, and still bitter. Aroma of plain tobacco.
Final third: taste has become harsh and bitter. No aroma notes as the cigar unraveled shortly into the final third.
Taste is subjective to the person, and we reviewed these cigars together to demonstrate that. While we smoked side by side, each kept notes, thoughts and observations to themselves until completed. Thanks again for reading, y'all!
