View Full Version : So...uhhh...what's the story with Camacho American Barrel Aged?

So for the last couple of months I've been reading reviews on how great these cigars are, and I believe it. I want one. The reviewers don't seem to have any trouble at all procuring them. One reviewer even said he went out and bought one to review.

OK...I'll bite...sounds like a great stick...but everywhere I look, including the local brick and mortars, don't have 'em! The usual on-line suppliers either don't stock 'em or list them as 'back ordered'. Anybody have a line on where to get these? Or is this the usual 'we build up the hype but hold back on availability' scenario? Which if they carry that too far, may backfire, there are a TON of great sticks out there that ARE available!

Yeah I'm sure that the supply is artificially limited. My local B & M has them. I bought a box of Toros from Cigars At Your Price when they restocked. I really like them. Who knows? Maybe they'll end up as Lost & Founds in a few years.

I tried one. Not great not horrible. Kinda middle of the road. Don't know if I'd spend the money on one again

Already Pre-ordered them with my hipster American Express card.

That what I thought too...While not bad, and I wouldn't turn one down, I'd rather have the Equador or criollo.

I found one B&M near me that had them and picked up a couple. I was impressed. A hint of sweetness and perfect construction. Since then I’ve been to several other B&Ms that have every line of Camacho you can think of but no American Barrel-aged. Famous has them but only by the box, unless you go for the three stick sampler. Don’t forget the discount.

Famous has them all backordered except the 5X50 Robusto Tubo...that's the problem, yeah they list them...but back ordered or not in stock. Frustrating.

I am pretty impressed with this cigar. It's no Diploma, but its certainly tasty. Am going to Just For Him on Thursday with some local friends. JFH is doing a 3day event for the American Barrel-Aged.

Camacho and Avo had an event at Fogue & Bates Tobacco here in Tulsa to introduce their new smokes last Thursday. Was hoping to make it, but didn't get home until late Wednesday after five days of so called "controlled" field burning and scratching the dirt getting wheat and turnips in. Tossed in a little hunting in the morning and evening. By the time I was semi caught up back at home Thursday, I wasn't up to going anywhere. This whole getting mature thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd like to try the Barrel Aged, but it can wait a little longer...

Just seeing this thread now, but we have the American Barrel Aged in stock, and in 5-packs and samplers as well: https://www.bestcigarprices.com/camacho-american-barrel-aged-cigars/

I personally really dug the cigar. I was quite surprised at just how good it was, actually: https://www.bestcigarprices.com/blog/smoke-notes-cigar-review-camacho-american-barrel-aged-robusto/

Jason, I just ordered a sampler from y'all! I noticed that these are now available from CI, but you know what? THEY didn't respond to my post! And although I do a lot of ordering from them, Jason got the nod and it's likely that I'll be doin' a lot more business with them in the future! Your help is VERY much appreciated, Jason!

the CI rep is not very active at all on the forums an its most likely because of the size of the company and all that they deal with

Understood...my comment wasn't a barb toward CI, again, they are one of my prime sources and not because their rep is or isn't active on forums! I just appreciate Jason's extra effort! I thought it would be uncommonly rude for him to respond, effective solve my problem, then take my business elsewhere!

Your order is greatly appreciated, and again, glad I could help. Especially since I really enjoyed this particular cigar and I'm happy to turn someone else on to them. Feel free to hit me up with any questions or comments anytime, either here or via email ([email protected])

:stogie: Cheers!
