I was considering multiple places to roost as a relative (2 years) cigar newbie to pal/clown around with others who enjoyed the hobby.

I'm an ultra cheap smoker, and no I don't mean the dog rocket you throw will be intercepted by me mid-flight and happily puffed, it simply means I only go for surefire amazing deals due to budget constraints and do not do it often. So my experience is a bit limited, as I tend to shy away from things that do not fit a very inline profile that I can discern from researching unless, again, amazing deal.

I also accept questions and tips, as always, I am willing to learn whatever can be taught by those more experienced than me.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks, as for your generous list.

Cabo Classic - Haven't had a chance to try it yet.
Gurkha Park Avenue - I'm very wary of Gurhkas as the couple I've had always had some sort of issue (Burn problems or just tasting foul, one had the cap fall off in my mouth and I had to adjust the band to keep it from unraveling)
Nica Libre - My current go-to smoke, love these things.
5 Vegas Gold - Wasn't impressed with these, but they weren't bad either. I usually pick a couple up if they are at a deep discount and I want to stock up.
Schizo - Haven't had.
Bahia Red - I think I've had one but I don't remember what it was like.
Bahia Blue - Haven't had
John Bull - Haven't had
Graycliff G2 - Have one sitting in the humi, haven't tried one yet though.
5 Vegas classic - Did not like this, it was a bit bitter for me and I hate bitter tastes.
Buenaventura - Been looking for a chance to get these.
Bahia Trinidad - Haven't had it.
5 Vegas A - I liked the one I had but some reason I can't seem to get a hold of them more often.
RP Cargo - Haven't had it.
Bahia Icon - Didn't like the one I had.
Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte - Been meaning to get one.
Bahia Gold White Label - Haven't had it.

I'll add the ones I haven't had to my list, thanks again!

They're hard to find, but if you do, it's usually in the bargain bin near the cash register :)

Gurkha Park Avenue - I'm very wary of Gurhkas as the couple I've had always had some sort of issue (Burn problems or just tasting foul, one had the cap fall off in my mouth and I had to adjust the band to keep it from unraveling)
I agree in general that friends don't let friends smoke Gurkha, but the Park Avenues are different - CT and Maduro are good; I picked up some of the new Habano ones and so far they've been eeh.

Nica Libre - My current go-to smoke, love these things.

5 Vegas Gold - Wasn't impressed with these, but they weren't bad either. I usually pick a couple up if they are at a deep discount and I want to stock up.
Make sure to try the CT wrapped ones - the Gold Maduros are nasty

Schizo - Haven't had.
This is from the CLE Asylum line. Schizos are comprised of the scraps from the better Asylums, but usually aren't too bad themselves.

Bahia Red - I think I've had one but I don't remember what it was like.
Maduro - not too bad.

Bahia Blue - Haven't had
Habano - pretty good.

John Bull - Haven't had
I can't remember why I liked these but I must have as they made the list :)

Graycliff G2 - Have one sitting in the humi, haven't tried one yet though.
Comprised of scraps from the better Graycliffs. Usually pretty good.

5 Vegas classic - Did not like this, it was a bit bitter for me and I hate bitter tastes.
I've found them to be best with 3-6 mo. rest on them.

Buenaventura - Been looking for a chance to get these.

Bahia Trinidad - Haven't had it.
Criollo wrapper - pretty nice.

5 Vegas A - I liked the one I had but some reason I can't seem to get a hold of them more often.
The AAAs are good too.

RP Cargo - Haven't had it.

Bahia Icon - Didn't like the one I had.
I tried one ROTT and it was pretty nasty, but after a couple months they mellowed right out. But I can see this one being an "acquired taste."

Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte - Been meaning to get one.

Bahia Gold White Label - Haven't had it.
This is their "sun grown." I usually don't like sun grown but this is an exception.

Yours from the self-appointed authoritah of cheapies :)

BTW, I forgot to mention, Flor de Oliva is a decent bundle stick. I'm not sure if it's part of the Oliva cigar line, or from the Oliva family cigar leaf producers, or (c) none of the above.
