I realize I'm all over the road here, but...

This Texas heat has all but destroyed my yard and so I've been doing a fair bit of hand watering lately (we typically get one day in which we can use sprinkers because we are in a perpetual drought), and my cigar of choice, a Robusto, just doesn't last the duration. Obviously I need several different types of cigars for the various calls in my life.

Now I'm looking for cigars on the cheaper end ($3-6/ stick per 5) that are of the mild-med to medium spectrum that (from what the descriptions I read) are of the creamy persuasion. Though I have not noted (and should have) cigars I'm not familiar with, but really liked (I have saved several bands now), I'm looking for longer sticks of atleast 6" but no more than maybe 54 ring (I generally but no more than 50 ring) as I'm not but 5'8" and 155 and don't want Texas bugs looking for a new nest. I'm guessing Churchills are what I'm after, but I'm not too exclusive.

And so I'm looking for recommendations. I've only dealt with CI but no longer am stuck on them now that they've taken my sole reason for being so staunch. But then (JR being the other I've been drawn to) I've seen no better deals with smaller bundles. I'm just not in a position to buy boxes or whatnot as my hobby funds are limits to $100/mo and I have enough reason to spend them on brewing beer or my black powder hobby too. Everyone wants their piece you know...

So whatcha got for me to consider (both in sticks and sites)?

Cigar Monster (http://www.cigarmonster.com/)(part of Famous Smoke Shop) has rotating deals every hour and then also have all of the daily deals "Monster Mash-Up" available for 1 hour twice a day 11-12 ET. Occasionally they have Monster Mash-Up all day. Most of the deals are 5'rs and frequently come with free shipping. I think you will find quite a few deals there in your price range.

The Oliva G Natural (Cameroon) might fit your bill for mild-med with a bit of creaminess or the Oliva Connecticut.
Flora de Oliva
Perdomo Reserve Champagne Connecticut

The Two Guys Smoke Shop (http://www.2guyscigars.com/)has their own labeled Dos Hombres Dominican, which for the price of a shade over $2 apiece, isn't bad, especially for working around the yard. Decent flavor and construction, maybe a tad light on the fill, but can't complain for the price.

Occasionally you can get the Arturo Fuente Double Chateau (Churchill size) for around $5 ea. Consistently good construction and a pretty good cigar.

You can pick up the Double Chateau for $29.95 shipped from Corona Cigar,...

Thank you! I will check them out, especially the deal sites. I had found what I was wanting prior to realizing I need some longer sticks through our dry season. I need to recheck and compare.

You might want to take look at some cigars in the Lonsdale size/format, bit smaller ring gauge, but a goodly selection that would fall into the desired price range.
You should have little trouble finding quite a few at sites already mentioned.

Ill second the perdomo champagne in connicticut , and add the quorum shade - dirt cheap and mild with a hint of creaminess.

Thanks to David pointing out Corona Cigars with free shipping I made an early order with their 10% off deal which bought me a Churchill style of house cigar (Corona) to try.

I have been given a Cargo by Rocky Patel that is very cheap but good, as well as an Oliva Flor de Olive which also cheap but good. Unless I find a better deal I'll likely be buying a couple of boxes soon enough as I'll be well stocked (8 beers worth) of brewing supplies giving me $ for boxes to stock up on, which then gives me $ for the finer boxes.

I went out eyeing my various ice chests again...
