Some of y'all know that I am on a journey. A journey to find my personal Headknocker cigar. Lately, I have added a secondary goal: Find a monster in a CT wrapper. Somebody's got to making this. Sucker Punch isn't it, apparently. Katman thought it was, even going so far as to say that the 7" X 52 vitola would be suicide. I think I have the "peanut butter" note he had, but no monster here.
Can anybody point me in the right direction? Where is the back alley brawler in an Italian suit?

Haven't tried them myself (yet) but what about San Cristobal Elegancia or My Father Conn? Or something by LFD?

I've had the My Fathers CT it was tasty but not strong.

I've heard that as well, but don't think they have a CT wrapper

I think that you're chasing a unicorn on that one!
In my limited experience the don't wrap anything strong in a CT wrapper. The Elegancia suggested is not strong, although a very nice smoke. And as you said the My Father CT is not strong either.
If you find one, let me know. I love a full bodied smoke & think a real full body wrapped in a CT would be interesting.

You might just have to do a wrapper swap. We'd all like to see that!

From a manufacturing standpoint, I think having a super strong filler with a CT wrapper would be a waste. The blend would over power the mild wrapper, muting one of the most expensive wrappers (if using true CT shade, not Ecuador CT).

I was going to suggest the same - or even just double-wrap. Get Conn you like, take off the wrapper, and slap it on top of a Cain or something. Frankengars are great!

Brimy, DO try this Sucker Punch. I got pretty slammed after laying it down, might be a delayed-release bomber lol. Lynn, what I'm looking for is strength/ body hidden under a CT wrapper

While still pretty uncommon, there are some solid examples of this out there. A couple that come to mind: La Gloria Cubana Artesanos Retro Especiale Cubano & Perdomo Habano Churchill Connecticut.

If you are looking for a more stout shade wrapped cigar, try the RomaCraft Intemeperence EC. It's Ecuadorian shade but still a shade wrapped smoke. None of the weakness of the CT shade stuff

I have three or four of these resting in my humidor. They're supposed to be medium-full, which is rare for a Connecticut-wrapped cigar.

I wouldn't say medium full but I would say a full medium, maybe medium +
