Room 101 Big Payback...Payback

Since I have a new Whynter CHC-251S cigar cooler/humidor ordered, with mostly singles to put up.....I had to come up with an additional storage solution for them, beyond what was provided. With no budget left for custom trays, I picked the brains of my local B&M guys. After some brainstorming, we came up with repurposing Room 101 boxes. They are LOADED with quality SC, and they hooked me up with a pile. 2 evenings work, lots of unibit drilling, and a little wire brushing......here is what I came up with. THEY SMELL AWESOME!!

Holding solid now for nearly a month at 64*/64%, I could not be happier. Bottom 1/2 right now is CC's, top 1/2 is NC's. I will likely buy a 2nd unit as demand dictates....my best solution for the $$. Sorry for the poor quality of pics....guess I was nervous and in a hurry with "My Precious" being so exposed LOL.

:thumb: Yeah, me too. Poof, then ultimately Bum, has made the highest level of the hobby enjoyment possible. In the beginning, it was just something I did without giving it a whole lot of thought. Add a forum full of BOTL's & SOTL's with tips, knowledge, insight, banter, you name it....And it has become a daily joy. Sure there is some OCD involved (a lot in my case), but few hobbies reward you as this one does!

So true! Without the forum I'd still be rolling with a little desktop humidor, ordering cigars every couple months when I got low. I guess that wouldn't be so bad, and I'd definitely have a little more money in the bank, but the enablers around here have let me take the hobby to the next level.

It's been too long since I had a cigar. With temps at 105 F it has not really been cigar smoking weather, plus back-to-school stuff, I have not had opportunities (I really hate having to quit smoking a cigar because I ran out of time).

You've had a lot on your plate anyway Cameron. I've gone a week or two several times this summer. Either too hot, too busy, etc. I look at it like this.....there will be time down the road, never force enjoyment, and they're only getting better waiting for that moment when you have the time. Those pix and the contents are really somthing to be extremely proud of...nice little *nod* to the bit of Gollum lurking in most Cigarbums.
