New to this side, getting into cigars also. Im surfing this side to learn more. So far although i only smoked a few different kids is a Jericho will lee. Cant believe how many, just like piping. And holy cow the price for a box! probly wont buy more than 5 at a clip or ill be shot dead lol. Dont like to be knocked out after a smoke and not anything that tastes like a cigarette. Guess im off to learn some termialogy.

Welcome! Avoid the machine-mades and you shouldn't have any trouble avoiding anything that tastes like a cigarette, though even those aren't anything like that normally. Great to have you on the dark side. We have cookies. :)

Welcome, Matt!
Yes, there's a dizzying array of cigar blends out there - just try a lot of different ones and you'll find your tastes.
Cigar smoking is generally more expensive per unit of smoking pleasure than pipe smoking, but pipers make up for it by stockpiling bales of tobacco and hoarding (well, collecting) pipes :)
But there are ways to economize.

How strong do you want your cigar to be in the nicotine department?
As for flavors, the wrappers can sometimes give you a general idea of what kinds of tastes to expect. Maduros VS Connecticuts, etc.

Glad to have you on the cigar side as well. Seems there are a lot of people here who go both ways. Like Horseshoe .

Try and stay with anything Medium or lighter to start with, and smoke it on a full stomach.
