I just got the e-mail I was expecting from John Nelson. My new drawers are shipping today. I should have them by the weekend. With all the rain in the midwest lately, I'm thinking they should be more than adequately moist on their trip from Minnesota to Cincinnati.

I always preferred my drawers to be dry when I wear them................

The drawers and shelves are everything I expected. Excellent craftsmanship. I'm posting a few pictures of sliding tray option that John offers as I had not seen it before.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/06/8b0442c283406a514269ad2c088d9750.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/06/baa38580a40d7516de63fdbeafaf6e4c.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/06/352376ed0fde321e1a21556c37385873.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/07/06/1ed27b75d61c29d8571aa3c20f70121c.jpg

Don, That was a before and after shot of the same drawer. There is some room, but trust me, there are no empty ones!

Beautiful drawers. Hmm... it just doesn't sound right to say that even when I type it.

That's a fantastic looking set up, Jim; really well thought out. Why not post a link to John and invite him to join us? I'm sure the members would love to interact with him and I'm sure they could offer him many interesting ideas. Win/win.

At Don's suggestion, I did invite John to join our group and hope that he can find the time! It sounds like he is pretty busy these days.

John, answered my e-mail last night. He appreciated the invitation and it sounds as though he checks in here from time to time, though he never posts. His concern is that since he's so busy building humidors and drawers that posts may go unanswered for a time. It's probably best to e-mail him at
[email protected] with inquiries or to discuss ideas. I picked up something on another site that someone was building a website for him. Not sure if it will be an e-commerce site or informational. I'll keep my eyes open to see if that develops.

Just got my Drawers from John..He is definitely a true craftsman... curious if you seasoned them before putting into use and if so how long... if not, did it have any effect on maintaining your desired RH?

It was so humid out during the week they were delivered, I was cautious. I put one drawer in, and left the others in the box in the garage. The humidity was up a bit the next day, so I brought the rest of the drawers into the air conditioning and unwrapped them. Let it go over night and put them all in. I should have probably waited longer. I'm still hovering at 69% to 70% versus the 65% I was at before. This is with HF Beads.
I wouldn't worry too much about seasoning with the summer we've been having!
Enjoy those drawers. I love mine!
