I got bored, and some brothers got generous with band donations, so I "remodeled" my single speed city bike that I use for errands. This used to be the mountain bike I raced (even won one it in a geared class once), but that was back before having little ones:

A special shout out to RenoH414 for his contributions

How did you affix them? And did you cover them with anything to protect from the elements?

Excellent placement of the Ave Maria band! Seeing that while riding would make me want to joust.

I attached them with three steps:

Glue stick
High Gloss Modge Podge
Spray Acrylic Finish

Excellent, thanks! I may have to try this, though my wife will likely never let me hear the end of it! :)

Nice!

Love those Avid BB7's, just an all around awesome piece of gear.

It's like the bicycle/tobacco version of NASCAR. Looks like we also have a winner in the "worlds smallest bicycle seat contest" as well. That thing can't be comfortable.

Yeah...your tail bone gets used to it over the years. I was 26 before I bought my first car because I was able to cycle everywhere. I've never stayed away long enough that I had to break my rear end in, again :)

Thanks- yeah, I have ridden downhill, and that's the only time I might consider taking hydraulics over BB7s or BB5s. They're simplistic, easy to tune and repair, and extremely reliable.
