6/10/15 Camacho Connecticut Toro
Paired with: All in this set were paired with Caribou Mahogany blend K-cups.
Nose is straw and light black pepper.
Cold draw is purely tobacco.
1st third: Taste and smell are oak and black pepper. Noted a very loose draw this portion.
2nd third: Heather tries it and says, "I don't like it, tastes like I'm eating dry coffee grounds." Taste is oak, pepper and coffee. Smell is pepper, toast and oak.
3rd: Taste is pepper and cinnamon? Smell is pepper and oak.
Final thoughts: It's smooth and consistent. I would say medium-bodied, not very powerful, but tasty.

6/11 Camacho Criollo Toro
Nose is spicy, with a distinctive (to me) Criollo aroma.
Cold draw is tobacco, light wood and a tangy, citrusy spice.
1st third: Definitely a better draw than the Connie. Taste is spice and pepper, smell is same in inverse order. Heather tries it, "Yuck! Tastes like burnt popcorn"
2nd third: Taste is peppery and a light wood. Smell is now spicy and bread-like (that's a new one on me)
3rd follows 2nd with no change.
Final thoughts: Criollo and Connie are the opposite sides of the medium-bodied coin. Complex and subtle, I want to try this one again.

6/13 Corojo Corona
Nose is very strong pepper and earth.
Cold draw is lip-tingling red pepper and charred wood(?)
1st third: Taste is strong red pepper and heavy wood. Smell is char and black pepper.
2nd third: Pepper bomb continues. Smell is char and black pepper. Taste is now spice (paprika?) and red pepper.
3rd: same as 2nd, with a faint sweetness to taste, like a reward for enduring the powerful pepper blasts.
Final thoughts: PEPPER BOMB

6/15 Corojo Maduro Corona
I was looking forward to putting these 2 corona's head to head, and here we go!
Nose is strong earth, tobacco and spice.
Cold draw is bitter espresso, spice and hay.
1st third: Deep but mellow, not the pepper bomb the regular Corojo was. Taste is earthy, red pepper and spice. Smell is black pepper, spice and coffee.
2nd third: Taste is spice, indeterminate pepper, and coffee. Smell is spice, wood and coffee.
3rd: follows 2nd, with the pepper emerging as red, and nuts joining the aroma.
Final thoughts: Deeper than the Corojo, but I actually prefer the Corojo over the Maduro.

6/17 Camacho Double Shock Robusto
Nose is hay, spice and tobacco.
Cold draw is leather (welcome back, old friend!), tobacco and muted pepper.
1st third: Taste is chad and spice. Aroma is spicy cedar and pepper.
2nd: only change is cedar and pepper joining taste.
3rd: No changes noted
Final thoughts: Disappointed. The barber pole seems more a novelty than functional.

Final thoughts on the set. If I had to order my preferences, I would have to say:
1) Corojo
2) Criollo
3) Corojo Maduro
4) Connecticut
5) Double Shock (shocking!)

Did you do all of these in one day?

The Connecticut Toro was the third cigar I ever had, but I detected creamy and a woody note, and a hint of spiciness in the middle third (which persisted). I never got the coffee notes that Heather got, but that very well could've been because of my n00bness.

No, Zeede, not that much of a heavyweight lol. Dates are to the left of the stick. As for noobness, well, taste is subjective and personal. I never tasted burnt popcorn on the Criollo, and there might've been creamy notes to the Connie, as that is expected of that wrapper. Laynard reviewed the same stick as I (Punch RC elite) on Poof, and we got different versions of the same taste.

[QUOTE=Usafvet509;70781] If I had to order my preferences, I would have to say:
1) Corojo

I would also say that the Camacho Corojo is by far the best that Camacho has to offer.

I have smoked boxes of the Corojo Figurado. Great Cigar
