Some fella's here already know I'm about 2 months in on a custom built cabinet. I'm in the final stages now, and look to be done by late June, beginning of July. When all is said and done the contents of my NC fridge and CC wineador will be all moved into this and my wineador will go to its intended use as holding wine and other booze.
Not wanting to waste anything and to provide some brother or sister with a good deal, I will post up the Birdseye maple front wineador drawers and shelf for sale here if anyone is interested. Pics of them can be seen here in the "Show us your wineador" thread.
Here is the cliff notes on where I'm at with the cabinet.
Started with a trailer and some 3/4" Red Oak.

Should have glass and humidification within next two weeks. House has been 65-68 RH for last couple weeks so by beginning of July I will be mostly humidified already.

A seven foot tall, 4 foot plus wide beast. It's been a blast to build, but I will be happy to have all my stash at one property and in one storage. With room to grow.
Still have drip tray for peltiers, peltier framing, humidification devices installed, all wires cleaned and hidden best as possible, and glass put in. But I'm on downhill side of this build and see the finish line.

Thanks Jesse, will do. Unfortunately even with my multiple stashes this thing will look pretty empty it's so darn big. But it offers plenty of space for growth, and I will be able to say for sure that I won't outgrow it.

Lol, thats at least my plan.
As to humidification, I am running an Avallo Accumonitor 20-40. Will most likely have some of my HF beads and Bovedas in singles drawer as well to start with. Just to help keep the singles stable. If it proves to not have much fluctuation I will remove them. But since I know how they work firsthand, I will have them in there for a while.

Thanks Mark. The bottom will house the power supply for the peltiers, the temp controller, AC Infinity Fan controller, and power strip. As well as my cigar travel cases, and other accessories collected over the years. Along with spare gallon jugs of Distilled Water.
I cut out holes and mounted 3" fans in the bottom cabinet in the event that it gets warm in bottom from electrical stuff, I can hook them up and use it to circulate air. One is set to blow in and other blow out. I had them wired up initially but the noise of the fans, even though low, still generates a little bit of noise.
The 5" AC Infinity fans that are in the cabinet and on the inside and outside of the peltier heat sinks are whisper quiet. If you didn't see them spinning and feel the breeze, you would think they are off.
In the beginning of the project I was going back and forth as to make the entire unit lined for cigars or just the top. The rear wall is recessed 3" from the back of cabinet and initially the power supply and other electronics we're going to be mounted on back. However after having the cabinet in place in the house I felt that I didn't want to run a risk with a hot power supply sandwiched between a solid wood cabinet and my tongue and groove pine walls. The lower part offers a great deal of space, and I would need a place for all my cigar junk anyways. The top section and bottom is separated by 3/4" red oak ply with another inch of insulation board, then my 1/2" Spanish cedar lining. So I'm not expecting any heat transfer from bottom to top.

lol, Listen here Tony, you just settle down over there. I came by to share my build and let folks know some nice looking drawers will be up for sale soon. You don't need to get the natives all riled up.
I've sold a bunch of my NC stuff, down to the final couple hundred now. Keeping my select favorites, for the most part. If you folks really want to bomb someone, hit the brother or sister that ends up buying the drawers. Im pretty much converted into a CC fiend. The smokes are great, but there are some that really benefit from years of down time. That's why I outgrew the wineador so fast. Boxes that Im not even intending on touching for some years, Ive run out of space in it. This solves that problem easily.
I do appreciate the ribbing, and its nice to see your still in the mix. We still need to meet up for a cigar. Will try again this fall when Im over for pheasant.

Sounds like a plan. All CC's huh - you and jp1979 going down that road. I'll be back here on the NC side when you want some good smokes...
With a box that big you'll be able to age for decades !
Really nice build and yeah I had to harass you a little as I haven't seen much of you lately - now I know why.
Help the boys out here. Those beautiful Birdseye Maple drawers - for a Newair 280 or 281 ?
I've seen a few who have bought the box and haven't pulled the trigger on the drawers yet.
Give em a little something to think / dream / drool about if they are for their Newair model
Good luck with the build - looks marvelous so far.

Bottom with false front?
Since the slot for the drawers are on the bottom of the drawer if you used a regular drawer in the lowest slot of the wine cooler you would have a 4" or so open air spot. To make it look more finished, makers of wineador drawers extend the face plate of the lowest drawer to go all the way to the bottom.
If you look at my second pic, you see the front drops down over front of table. Face is double size but drawer is regular. Hope that makes sense to you.

Well George, I do not really think of it as tearing down Tony, more like lifting him up. Now when he's spending countless days on the golf course like a big fancy pants jet setter:fly:,he will have plenty of choices of cigars to pick from for the day's activities.:stogie:
Once again, you are right. Positive thinking. It's all about intent, and I know yours was good.

So its all done and been running smooth for last week. As of now Im not running an active humidifier. Will be setting one up as summer ends. But right now summer humidity is keeping everything fine with my 65 Bovedas and a couple pounds of HF beads. Everythig is rock solid at 65.
Put a smoke alarm in bottom of cab in event of any issues with power supply. Also my temp and fan controller are based here so I can view or modify settings without opening upper unit up.

I am digging the singles drawer, so that is my next purchase after I get my power supply woes figured out. Go for it buddy. It's not that hard. Only tools you need are table saw, mitre saw, finish nailer, screw gun, razor knife, some screwdrivers, some wood clamps, and a tape measure. I used router table for trim, but you could buy trim already designed.
Though I would love to see it filled, I'm just as happy knowing I have a place to put whatever I buy, without worry of playing Tetris.
Like others I outgrew the wineador is short order, and multiple wineador's just didn't seem like much sense. And the singles drawer is awesome. It's so big I can see everything easily without digging or rutting around. If you decide to take the plunge and give it a go, I would happily share my sources of door frames or Spanish Cedar.
