So I have one of these on the way. What's the consensus on it?

I picked one up to put onto the outside of my wineador to see what my office was at. The RH on mine is 3% low but the temp is spot on when I calibrated it next to my Xikars. So not the most accurate, but not bad considering the price tag.

I figured for free it was better than the one I don't have...
I also ordered a couple of Boveda 65%. From what I understand, using those, you don't really need one as they are on the money.

Oh! My cube of 65% Bovedas should be in this week and I was going to mail you a couple.
The Bovedas are really spot on in an airtight, small container. If you had a 5k count cabinet, the issue becomes more about circulating the air to ensure even humidity throughout the enclosed space.

Funny, I got two for $4 each on C bid about 6 months ago. Both are exact when it comes to RH but way off on temperature.

How true are the Boveda packs? If they are accurate then I figure it would be how I'd know if the hygrometer was off.
Let's say it's 2% off. Does it stay 2% through out the scale? Or can/will it be different at a far different range?

It stays fixed until the membrane starts to break down. The packs have a shelf life of two years, so I plan to buy new ones that frequently.
