Cigar: Nica Libre 1990
Wrapper: San Andreas Maduro
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Appearance & Construction
This cigar looks very solid in construction with a dark maduro wrapper. Very minimal veins and draw is pretty loose. The bummer - the burn had to be consistently touched up throughout the cigar. The burn line started great, then went down for there - quickly.
Flavor
1/3 - almost caramely. Very smooth and creamy. Just a little bit of black better and some earth.
2/3 - More cream coming through. Less pepper and now some leather and more earth. There is also some nuttiness and some toasty flavors.
3/3 - All those toasty flavors come to the surface. The toast is still there, but has turned into more of a black roasted coffee flavor.
The flavors were great, but the burn sucked. Also got a little hot towards the end.
