What do y'all do with them after taking them off of the cigar to smoke it? Do they slide right off without damaging the wrapper?
Could they be used as a sort of makeshift cedar spill?

They should slide off easily. I think they're thin for a spill, but put a flame to one and see how it burns.

Yes, and yes. That's what I use 'em for. I also re-use them on budget cigars for long-term aging, in hopes it'll help them improve over time.

I usually just chuck them. Just FYI, I always take the cedar sleeves off as soon as I get them. Leaving them on is just adding to the risk of mold.

Cedar spill yes. Or put into trays or OXOdors and let that beautiful smell permeate the smokes and container

My main OXOdor already has four or five sheets given to me by my local B&M. I think they all came from cigar boxes.

Well technically you can, unless it's a Guten Cala.

I cut them to the diameter of inside humidor windows to block out light.
Cut them into 1"x 1" date and box code labels.
Sandwich them in between large stacks of cigars.
Make cedar floors over the bottom of paper dress boxes.

I also usually save them and throw them into humidors that have the room.
Buffer (maybe) and smell, what the hell.
If it is a tubo do you also take the cedar sleeve out?

You can light a cigar with the cedar sleeve still on by sliding it out part way first:

OR once removed, fold it over on itself several times and use it as a cedar spill. You might only need half of it.

I don't. But I try to give the cigar a few days or weeks out of the tube in the humidor before smoking.

I have also used them to tighten up the seal of my (cheap) humidor by wedging them into the slight gap of the lip.

This is what I always thought they were for but I don't think I would risk it. I only have a minimal amount of cigars and I would hate myself for ruining one trying to do some fancy lighting.
I did get some good tips from others in this thread though.

Yes, but he didn't toast the foot doing it this way. How can any self respecting cigar smoker light it so violently without first toasting the foot?? :stogie:

I read this and it came through in the voice found on Another Brick in the Wall (part ii)
"You can't have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!"......
"If you don't toast the foot, you can't smoke a cigar! How can you smoke a cigar if you don't toast the foot!"
