Cool Breeze

Haven't tried to review anything for a while so I thought I'd pick one I liked a lot and give it a whirl.
This is one of the H&H blends I received from Tobias Lutz via the review contest. None of them have been bad by any means, but this one and Burley Kake have definitely been my 2 favorites.
Name: Hearth and Home Virginia Spice
Blend: Virginia, Perique and maduro cigar leaf
Age: New
Smoked in: MM Legend
The manufacturer describes this as "coarse cut" though I would have said just a ribbon cut if asked without looking at the description.
Tin note is a very natural sweet tobacco aroma, as there are no flavorings or casings.
It packs very well and lights with ease.
This blend has the subtle sweetness you would expect of a Vaper and it stays throughout the entire bowl. At first there isn't much spice but it builds as the bowl progresses, yet does not become overpowering. The sweetness and spiciness are balanced nicely with me getting just the slightest tingle on the retrohale. The maduro cigar leaf is there, but not always and is in the background. It is a mere condiment and I like that. If I want in your face cigar flavors, I have a humidor for that. I have tried a couple of cigar leaf blends and this is the best by far IMO.
The taste is a solid medium.
Strength is medium as well. It's there in a good way.
Overall this is a straight forward Vaper blend (with just a hint of the cigar leaf) that is very nice. I think it is a very good value and there is no reason to not have some on hand.
It is one I plan on jarring up a half pound or so and re-visiting in a couple years. I bet age would be very good to it.
I think after I hit "submit" here, I'll pack another bowl and do it again. :pipe:
