Yeah, it was actually CBid that got me back into cigars again. On a whim I launched their app on my iPad and next thing you know I found this forum and learned about Boveda packs, KL and was going crazy getting everything back in order. I know a winedor is in my future. :)

My recent orders have been for some Perdomo 10th Anniversary, Hoyo de Monterrey Excaliburs, Drew Estate Undercrowns and I've got a 5 pack of some Ramon Bueso Genesis coming to give them a try. Sad thing is, I'm so hooked I have to check the auctions several times a day. :(

I have an aversion to auctions. In fact I hate them.
The first thing I click on ebay is the 'Buy It Now' option.
Just tell me what you gotta have for it and I'll either buy it or I won't.

It's probably because when I used to go to estate auctions I'd stand around all day in the blazing sun waiting for the one or two items I was interested in to come up for sale... only to have them go sky high and sell for 3x the retail price. I bid on a bench vise one time - brand new in the box - had the original price tag of $125 still on it. Fools bid the thing up to over $400. Ridiculous. Anyway, I'm not much for auctions... but I digress...

I just got in last weeks winning's. This was mostly a "Merchandise" week for me, as I broke one of my lighters and lost my scissors.

Same here. The dates on my last two orders from CBID: 11/11/14 and 11/19/13. I didn't realize it had been that long.

Easy. Just go to "shipping frequency" under "my account" and change it before the previously set day comes. For example, mine was set to Thursdays but I only won 3 singles last week so just now I set it to Tuesday, so it won't ship tomorrow. If I'm still not ready by next Tuesday, I'll change it to Thursday again.... It doesn't seem like there's any limit to how many times you can do this, and I doubt cbid cares. In fact, the reason people put off paying is to buy more stuff in order to "save on shipping" so it's really in their better interests to allow it.

My local B&M is great, but they don't carry anything milder than a solid Medium. I've been recommended quite a few tasty Mild or Mild-Medium cigars, but they just don't carry them. The other options are BevMo or Total Wine, but their prices are high and they don't have any tobacconists to help. There are also two lounges, but the prices are high and they're really cliquey. I called one of them and the guy audibly sighed when I asked him to check which company made the humidors they were selling. Seriously?

I think CBid would work well for me to pick up a single of a few of the cigars that I've been recommended.

Indeed I use that site as well. I'm guessing the extension just pulls pricing data from that site and puts it on the item page in cigarbid.

Also got a couple of 5ers of Pinar Del Rio Oscuro (my favorite cheap stick), as well as a handful of singles.

My only complaint with them is the shipping times suck. I won my bids on Tuesday and have shipping set for Wednesday. It will be next Thursday when they arrive. That's 9 days. It just seems like a long time.

Yes, for the average price sold I could see that. But even the one that tracked the lowest price on Free Fall is gone and that one would have nothing to do with the history.
I don't use cBid alot so it's not a huge deal to sit and watch it if I really want something but I did like both of those tweaks.

That could be part of the reason, I'm not a big fan of connecticuts, but I did buy a whole box of the Monte Media Noche #2 (from Cbid actually, see we're still on topic :thumb:). It's still a good cigar, but it's tightly rolled with a hard draw which is a turn-off for me.

The good thing is I've been Christmas shopping for my Father-in-law (he loves Mark Twain cigars) so I've been picking those up at a nice price, but a few others are on my order now as well. funny you say that...the Latitudes are for a friend who I have slowly got hooked on the hobby. I had bought a few boxes of the Experimentals last year after having some of the regular zeros but never actually smoked them. this is the problem when you have too many cigars lol. My friend had one and now its the only thing he wants to smoke. They are ok fresh but apparently are really really good with some decent age on them. About a year does serious wonders for them. I read somewhere a few people were saying they were quite Fuente like with some major rest. I honestly havnt had one in about a year so think today I will light up one with about a year on it and will report back to you.

Just leave the page open for a few free fall cycles and it tells you what it got to.
