These have been recommended to me by a couple of people. Reading the reviews most people think they are a good cheap cigar, but a couple of people complained that the quality has dropped, and a couple of others mentioned them being sweetened. Are they sweet? Their details say both no and yes.

I doubt I'd care for a sweet cigar. I intended on the Robustos, but want to make sure I won't be stuck with 20 cigars I won't like.

They do have a sweetened cap but the sweetness on the cap fades pretty quick. I personally think these are great and they are cheap.

One way to find out, eh?

If nothing else there is the dog rocket trade...

The tip is indeed dipped in something sweet. I noticed it immediately since I tend to lick the tips before cutting or punching to help reduce the chances of a split cap. As Vincent said, it's just the outside that's dipped, so it goes away quickly.

I bought a bundle of the Corojo torpedos and have smoked 5-10 of them and like them, but I like most cigars with corojo wrappers.

I haven't noticed a sweetened cap on the Corojos. I think I would have noticed, but I'll pay close attention next time I fire one up.

They are pretty good for a cheap cigar.
