Anyone tried these yet? Was at my local shop today discussing them and the manager was nice enough to hook me up with a free sampler to congratulate me on the baby girl. I guess he liked my business the last couple of weeks buying 24 boxes of Quesadas.
Anyway these look very interesting. Local shop says they've been selling well. Especially those that know the name and where he comes from.
Those bands sure do have a resemblance lol.

Congratulations!
The HRs are great, very good. Very strong too, but really good. Too expensive to be on my regular rotation. Made by a fairly small company, Cubanacan.

The Hirochi Robaina is made by the grandson of legendary tobacco farmer Alejandro Robaina. Hirochi lives in Cuba but got a 5 year Visa to travel to and from as he pleases and the blessing of the Cuban company to make these cigars. He blended and and they are distributed via Cubanacan.. Interesting enough no one online is able to advertise these cigars via there mail order websites.. Its in the agreement.. with the exception of the Sampler....
If anyone is looking for these cigars send me a DM and ill send you ordering info. Easily one of the best cigars I had this year.

I know of at least 2 sites which are advertising them online. 1 is using the "call for price' tactic

corona cigar advertises full boxes, singles, and sampler with no web sales. I guess they figure all their internet customers will hop a flight and come to their stores.

Smoked the smallest size of the HR last night.Got these in on the 8th of this month, longest period of rest any cigars have had here in quite some time.Only seems right to me,buy with the intention of smoking, so fire them up when ready. These tobacco leave had their time in the Sun,or shade as the case may be. No return to life for them.
Enough of the wandering off track. The cigar, very firm, close in color to a My Father Le Bijou. Great construction.Right after lighting burn a wee bit wavy, stayed that way all the way to nub time.At about 40 minutes into this cigar a surprising increase on the retrohale. Now this was not quite a Marty Feldman, eye bulging kick. Certainly unexpected by me.Smoke quite slowly this Hermosa a 5.125 x 48 lasted two and a quarter hours. Have to revisit this size HR soon, really enjoyable smoke.
