View Full Version : Wow, what a buncha snobs!
Or so I hear.
Apparently someone asking for pipe help, but reluctant to bear the scrutiny of our little group. I thought we were pretty harmless, the Cigar Bum picture says it all.

I directed him this way. Maybe he will show up.

Yeah, I was looking for information on a tri-fuel generator. Due to tornadoes, we lost power in the dead of summer with no alternative power supply. I thought we were going to melt into the sheets at night trying to sleep.
Found that site and kinda stuck around. It's interesting to say the least!

I haven't found this forum to be anything but helpful and inclusive. That being said, I can see how a noob might find the sheer volume of information a little intimidating. But not the people :)

I would suggest that, as a survivalist, he's doing himself harm. He needs to know us; we're the ones with the massive stashes of tobacco...

Maybe a real gun like an AK or an FAL.
Ha! I'm sorry, I had to.

When that poster put dedicated pipe forums, I could envision the concerns. I've been turned off a few time, at a few places, from a few asswipes.
I don't wear a tie often, and I love my cobs.
Hopefully the poster from the other forum will take you serious enough to swing over and pull up a crate and sit a while with us bums.

I was thinking the same thing.
Not everywhere is as open or friendly as we are. I have had plenty of unfavorable encounters out and around on other forums.
This place is truly kind of special in the fact that we don't really have any "elitists" running around.

38 seconds for me, but I had the sound turned down until about 20 seconds in. What a tool.

You know, I've actually grown to like him. There's a certain innocence to his over-the-top affectations that makes him kind of endearing. He hasn't posted new vids in years but he's certainly one of the more unique youtube pipe video personalities.
