Sort of like Dunhill Nightcap but cooler, with a bit more of a hardwood note. Those SPC guys really know what they're doing. Smoking it in a meer right now.

SPC Plum Pudding is pretty good too - had some of that the other day.
That sounds great. SPC has a few blends I need to try.

Vintage Edgeworth Slices in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09). Got an early Christmas present. A good friend I hadn't heard from in some time called me to tell me why. He's had a very tough time with a lot of bad things in his life and hid from the world. He's putting it back together enough to reach out to people again, and I was the first person he called. The call ended up on very happy notes. Hope anyone who is in his position will do the same. It would be the best Christmas present you can give to a friend who cares about you.

Merry Christmas!

I woke up to the smell of my wife's annual breakfast bake. You layer light (almost pastry-like) dough in a pan, then put in your whisked eggs, then whatever add-ins you want. I like mushroom, country sausage, black pepper, sharp cheddar, and sage. Bake until it's cooked through and serve with raw, lacto-fermented pepper sauce on top, a giant cup of black coffee on the side, and A Christmas Story on TV!

It's a Neerup Ida. The pics don't do the stain justice, it's more of an orange-red and yellow which contrasts beautifully with the sandblast. And that stem! It's pretty well known that I enjoy colored stems. This is a mix of beige, yellow, aqua, turquoise, green, grey, and brown. I cannot wait to light this puppy up!

I'll bet if you dig back far enough you'll find a record of Jim digging some of this in a cob. Jim's tried it in everything to prove that it's one of the best damned pipe blends up until he discovered Strang.

Davidoff's cigars are definitely out of my retirement budget so I decided to give their tobacco a try.:idunno: This is my second bowl of this tobacco and my first was uneventful; it was OK-not bad or great. This second bowl is much better tasting.:wave: I will have to go thru this entire tin to really make up my mind about this tobacco, but "so far so good". I am topping off this smoke with a small glass of brandy while listening to holiday music; I am beginning to relax.:fly:

Had a couple bowls after armed hiking with a buddy today (some people refer to it as hunting, but I think that would be presumptuous on my part). One was the esteemed Dunhill Nightcap, and the other was a Drew Estate aromatic - I think it was Central Park Stroll but I wouldn't swear to it under oath. Not bad for an aro - sweet but not cloying. Pipe was an understated briar.
