How is it?

It is really good! It produces a healthy volume of smoke and it is satisfying. I don't know if it is supposed to be an aromatic or not but a hint caramel came to mind.

I don't know what the shape is called; I looked on their website and couldn't find a current offering that was similar. It was part of one of their grab bags of reject pipes. Glad to hear you are enjoying the forever stem. The clay you gave me is just starting to color like dulce la leche. It smokes cool and dry.

I love the cob too!
You should post a picture up sometime of that clay, I hope it serves you well.

What's the flavoring? I've smoked regular Scotch Flake and thought it already had some kind of topping. Seemed slightly chocolaty like tonquin bean or something.

Reaching for more GLP Meridian in a Big Ben dublin. Drinking my coffee the Irish way on this Friday morning, engines needed a little boost to make it into the weekend.

It is kind of a cocoa vanilla flavoring. I'm not sure if there is a difference or not. SmokingPipes only has Scotch Flake, Pipes and Cigars only has Scotch Flake Scented, and on TobaccoReviews there are only 2 reviews for Scotch Flake Aromatic. One is Freestoke's and the other is saying it is the same as regular Scotch Flake. I've never ordered regular Scotch Flake, so I don't know if it's different or not. I do know it is tasty, though.

It is not the same as Scotch Flake, which is more a straight, medium Va. I guess it's the Scotch Flake with cocoa-vanilla topping that makes it smell like a chocolate candy bar. It's really the most chocolate smelling tobacco I've encountered. Very fine tobacco! It's not really a "vanilla" aromatic, either, not enough vanilla to give it much of a room note.

An after-lunch helping of Marlin Flake. Just found the can in the bottom of the tobacco basket! Amazingly fresh, since it's still in the original plastic lidded container.

Following the link, my words (no doubt a string of pearls) are nowhere to be found, but now that I'm here I'll just mention in passing that I'm about to light the Sasieni TwoDot apple, one of my absolute favorite pipes. (I have approximately 10 absolutely favorite pipes, BTW.) The pipe contains the last of the Tilbury that tmoran bribed me with to come her, oddly coincidental with the fact that Landon actually quoted tmoran. A little weird, there. Got an email (haven't figured out how to shut that off yet) that alerted me to Colby quoting me. Must be the harmony of spheres is hitting a few jangling accidentals or something.

Hahaha just saw this. I had a post of yours "ticked" for a double quote back when you, Tim, and I were talking. I accidentally posted and you were notified but I edited it out because it wasn't relevant. But no doubt, a string of pearls rolled out by a silver tongue.

Don't worry, all is right in the universe and you aren't going crazy.

I thought as much, and I appreciate the assurance that I still maintain my headlock on reality.

I will share with you today's momentous happenings, as I work away at some Nightcap in the Legend Forever and my second Genesee. I hired a crew to shovel the roof! Man, that is a LOT of snow off my mind! I've been feeling like Kelsey Grammer in Down periscope, when he sees just how deep the old WWII submarine will go without the hull crushing, in my case, wondering exactly how much the roof could take without collapsing. Pretty sure the rain Tuesday would have brought the snowpack into the garage and flattened the shed.

We also succeeded in beating the old February average temp record, set back in 1851, with a sizzling average daily high of 7F. We console ourselves knowing we survived the worst February ever and wallow in all the prestige that that entails.

And, how did you like it? I was going to post a review about OJK today actually. Love that stuff.

I am about 3/4 of the way through it right now...I am sipping it to try to get all the right flavors out of it.

From the start, I am shocked at how mild overall it is! Nice nutty Burley and smooth with no bite at all. Burns great! The N kick is decent, but not as strong as some have made it out to be (IMO). I would put it in the medium range.

My only complaint so far is...the perique believe it or not. I am usually a perique fan, but in this blend I feel like it is robbing from the Burley a bit and the Va A LOT.

Got a few new tobaccos today. Just finished a bowl of Stokkbyes Bullseye Flake, which was very nice. Definitely a "git more of."

Currently burning up some Daughter and Ryan 3 Sails. I got it mainly for mixing/blending, but I thought I'd try it by itself first. It's not bad, very light and clean, but a bit on the bland side.

I'm boring, I finished up the last of my Mc. Organic Virginia Flake in the same African Meer.

Time to rest that pipe and grab another.

Finally got to try some Bob's Chocolate Flake, and I now have experienced that Lakeland essence! It really does leave a slight soap taste on the tongue.
It is unique, but I didn't dislike it.
