So I screwed up. I had samples people sent me all mixed up, Aro's, VA's, LAT blends. Well the Lat smokiness migrated to the other blends. I about crapped. Really pissed at myself. I separated them and still smokiness. Last night I had an idea.......put em in new zip locks. It worked. The afternoon I smelled the Capstan Blue and just the smell of a a VA. I was so happy and immediately decided to have a puff. I burned my tongue lol. And that was with a Nording Keystone pipe and the pellets in it. I always forget to sip. Oh well. At least the tobacco came back. I have G&H BBF, SG BBF, Stonehaven, Capstan Blue, ODF, Dark Star, FVF and they came back.

Glad they weren't ruined!
Enjoy!

You lucked out!
My experience is once a sample is tainted by an aro or some latakia, there is little chance of it going back to its original state. Glad you had success!

The Va's seemed to have bounded back but I just gave Boswells Christmas Cookie a smell and it still smells like Latakia. May be SOL on that one. Wont do that again.

So how "separate" do they need to be? I keep each sample in a ziploc bag and keep all the like sample bags together in a large ziploc bag. So all the latakias are with latakias and all the VAs are with VAs. However, all the bags of bags sit together in a cabinet drawer. Is that too cozy? Will they all get fouled up?

IMO that is probably to close. I had all of mine together from the same sender.
