I picked up a pipe at one of the local antique stores recently. It had a cracked shank and no stem. So why buy this piece of junk? The reason I grabbed it is I believe it may be a pre Kaywoodie. I was wondering if any of you (cough, cough) Kaywoodie experts can tell me anything about it. It is stamped KBB in a clover along with Rough-Root Briar. Nothing else on the pipe. If it isn't a pre Kaywoodie and is some sort of yellow bole I will have a fire starter for camping anyway. :)

Thank ya my bums.

Thanks - I read one of those at the antique store. I read them twice now and am more confused than before LMAO.

Threaded shank or push-pull?

Not having the stem makes it a little trickier.

Push style tenon shank - almost has a Peterson reservoir area in the shank.

Interesting...the only KB&B that I know of with a reservoir is a Chesterfield.

But I think all Chesterfield's were full bend pipes. So I doubt it is a Chesterfield.
