Just wondering what my brother's are doing tomorrow! I don't know what traditions you guys have but Easter is an excuse for my family to get together and share a few drinks and spend time together. I'll be heating up the pool, BBQing, and frying miscellaneous things like homemade french fries, fish tacos, and chicken wings. And of course plenty of beer, whiskey and tobacco!

What do you guys have planned?

Going to a friend's house after church for dinner. Then I'll come home, put the kids to bed, then smoke a bowl of something yummy. Probably that OTC stuff Tobias Lutz sent me. Sure smells good and I need to review it anyway now that I'm over that horrific cold.

Normally go to one set of parents house for dinner. This year we are picking up Cannollis from my mom and going to a friends house for dinner and drinks. All followed by a cigar on the hour drive back home.

My girlfriend has to work (medical profession) so I was planning on having a quiet afternoon after church. But my girlfriend put a wrench in the works when she suggested that I might want to take her mother out for dinner. Now I'm in a quandary.

Spent the day with my mom and siblings today. Tomorrow, two services at church; my wife leading worship, and me leading the A/V ministry.
For our family, this is a better day than Christmas! The best day of the year!
He is risen, and tomorrow we celebrate!

Our church had three services today as well as bounce houses, hot dogs and Easter egg hunts for the kids today. Going tomorrow morning to serve at one of the three services tomorrow!

Landon, you and your family are welcome to come, if you want! No bounce houses or hot dogs tomorrow, though. PM if you are interested and I will send over my contact info and my church address :)

Working swing shift at the patrol. I will have a bowl of something on the way there - perhaps HH Acadian Perique.

Haebar, I feel ya, really do. I hope things with her mother improve but my experience is that it goes downhill. Doesn't help that my mother-in-law is a vampire.

Well, we'll start if off at church like most of us on easter. There's a photographer there so we'll take a family photo then the younguns will hunt eggs. Then the preacher will preach the same sermon he preaches every easter. :)

After that, my wife has to take her mother home (3 hour drive one way) so I'll have the afternoon and most of the evening to myself. I'll go play golf with my nephew if the weather permits.

I'm sure I'll finish the day off with either a cigar or a bowl full of something good.

Well, Easter baskets in the morning along with breakfast. Then I have some chores to do. Then I am going to watch golf. Dinner at my parents house.

There will be a couple bowls of tobacco here or there too I am sure.

I asked her to go to church with me and have Easter lunch afterwards but she says she is too weak from her chemotherapy. I'm off the hook for that but I do worry about her condition. We get along very well, unlike my last MIL from a marriage back in the early 80's. I guess "my banquet wasn't big enough" to quote Dylan.

Hi Haebar,

I'm glad that you get along and sorry to hear that she's going through chemo, rough bit that is. I suppose that I'm comically sensitive towards the situation but there are reasons.

Please wish your mother-in-law a happy Easter from someone that she doesn't know.
