I want to pull the trigger on a fiver of these guys next week. I normally prefer robustos, but Small Batch doesn't have that size. What, in yall's opinion, is the best vitola? Looking at a 4 pack of Davidoff Nicaraguans too so want to get them at Small Batch if possible. Thanks in advance!

I don't think there is a bad size with the Julius Caesar's. Close your eyes and pick, and any of them will be awesome!

Horseshoe is right but if it were my order I would go Toro for both.

Yup, Toro is an excellent choice.

You should just skip the Julius Caeser and get the Maximus. IMO it's a better cigar - more body and more flavor.

Really all depends on what profile one wants though - they are both excellent cigars. Between the two, it really just depends on what I am in the mood for.
Oh, and I vote Toro as well. ;)

^^^This.
I'm a Robusto guy too, but have only had the Julius Ceaser in the Toro & it was excellent. The Maximus is a different animal, but another great cigar.

Thanks guys! Will go with the Toro's unless I see a super deal on something else. This many Bum's can't be wrong. May have to try the Maximus now too...Dang slippery slope!

What is the difference between the two? I have not tried either but I do have some of the Maximus inbound from the classifieds. I have wanted to try the JC as well.
Thanks guys!!

What is the difference between the two?
This might be an over-simplification, but in general:
Diamond Crown = Mild
Julius Caeser = Medium
Maximus = Full
But for me, the Maximus is more med-full, it won't knock you off your feet or anything.

Thanks RS. That gives me an idea as what to expect.

I would always for for a perfecto or figurado, given the choice - particularly since Diamond Crowns are made by Fuente and they excel in those vitolas.

Got lucky and scored a fiver of Toro's off the Devil's site for $45! Will report back in a few weeks and let y'all know what I think.

The JC is a Habano wrapper & the Maximus is a sun grown, that's where you get the strength & flavor difference. The Maximus is also aged 6 months before shipped.
