I'm assuming that most will notice I'm late with introducing myself, but alas I just couldn't see the addiction. My wife asked about a month ago why I hadn't been indulging my pipe for well over 3 years.I didn't have an answer. So Looked up the piper forums here got some learning, had an idea what I wanted to try,and headed off to the B&M.In previous years I had only tried the OTC brands,Borkem Riff,Captain Black, and such,so going in I had no idea what to expect. The proprieter showed off a few of his bulk blends and I opted for a Burley Lite.I have found a whole new love of this hobby and will be hard pressed to fill the desires that have awakened in me.In the month since my visit to the B&M I've picked up two more pipes and restored two others to use and have another almost finished.Thankyou Tobias,Branzig,Neverbend for helping me to grow my addiction.I've been involved in one review and have the opportunity to take part in another and have joined in a Noob Sampler trade,Thank You Haebar. This forum as a whole has been so enlightening and entertaining I feel Honored to have learned from such men as all of you.

You probably meant "Noob" right? I hope. Otherwise, well, this is awkward.

I have been called a noodle head before,,but yeah,I meant "noob".Unfortunately I am the product of a public education so my spelling and proof reading skills are somewhat ,,,,well,,,dang it I'm just a redneck.

Nood pipe smoking might be a little much even for this forum. I guess it could be your thing, I just don't want to think about it.

I guess to each their own. Weirdo's everywhere! But I don't judge....

Pipes are a slippery slope and a different type of relaxation.

Matthew where do you keep your matches? I'm so confused. Apparently clothing is not optional in the Cigar Forums!

I'm a nervous wreck, we have a nood pipe smoker running around here. Now we got another guy that likes wood, hope Matthew finds some trousers this is getting strange!

Welcome. Unlike these other "Ha ha. He made a funny" types, I am just glad you refound the pipe and, one hopes, some avenues to more enjoyable tobaccos. Glad you're here. There is so much more to the sport than The Captain (not that that's bad if you enjoy it).

Also, following the newest protocol, be sure to fold up your pipe tool and pipecleaners and put them in a ziplock bag before stuffing them into whatever it is you call a pocket.

And talk about good luck! As conservative as most pipesmoking forums are, I doubt they'd even let you clean out their ashtrays let alone post anything.

Thank You Mister Moo , Thanks to the brothers here allowing me to take part in the NTS, Haebar fixed me up with a nice selection and has given me a direction
to look in for tobaccos that I might like.I have garnered quite a bit of helpfull information from these forums and have truelly found a new appreciation of my pipes.
Capt black is fine but I allways went with Borkum Riff more often and occasionally Tops, now however I'm looking online for sutliff and C&D products. These guys
picking on me for my typo has taught me the need for proof reading before I post and provided my missus alot of entertainment.I've allways enjoyed debating more on
the semantics, because on the topic I'm usually wrong.

You know, a mod could change the title of the thread if you wanted. Totally up to you. :stogie:

However, you will always be Matthew the Naked Piper in my book. ;)

There's so much wrong in this whole thread, that's why it's damn funny to me! I'm just glad you have been a good sport about it all.

Wait untill ya start trying pipe tobaccos, you'll be throwing all the preserves out to use the jars for different blends.Don't go in for any that say they taste like a cigar, go after ones that have a profile that makes your mouth water and in your case Lynn get the full strength to get your nicotine hit.

It's true. It's all true. Slippery slope? More like sheer, ice covered side of a mountain!

If vitamin N is what you crave, then just smoke ropes. There are plenty of rope baccy out there that put seasoned, full strength cigar smokers right down on their rear end.

I usually have no fewer than 8 pipes on my epay watch list at all times.

PAD is a severe, terminal sickness. Very few things cure it.

It's only an addiction if you admit it is. As long as you are a productive member of society no one can tell you anything!
