Hey Gang,
I spoke with Ryan at Famous Smoke Shop today and they have agreed to offer a 15% discount to us using the code “CIGARBUM15”. It is 15% off of orders $50 or more. Like all other codes, there are some brand restrictions and it excludes gift certificates, event tickets, Frenzy items, Create-a-Sampler, and Name Your Price items. They will raise the discount to 17% if they see a good amount of orders coming in from Cigar Bums. The code is active now so get shopping.

All of my requests to CI and their sister operations have been met with a "Fill out this form and if we have interest we will get back to you" and they usually don't.

I have no idea, but I would imagine managing the overall profitability of their organization with that auction site might make quarterly projections pretty difficult. Adding multiple discounts across the web would make it even more challenging.

Have you tried contacting them and trying to address your concern or did you just go straight here and flame them? Another option, if you are unsatisfied with the restrictions that are on some coupons, check out cigar auctioneer, cigar monster or their name your price section. All have great deals. Or you could simply choose not to do business with them.
This kind of thing is the exact reason I started the "What we have to lose" thread. You didn't seem to care about having vendors on board but don't ruin something good for everyone else. That is a long list of excluded brands but they don't have to offer us anything at all, your not forced to buy there, and theres still solid brands that qualify for the promotion. Tatuaje, Kristoff, Crowned Heads, and La Palina being the first to come to mind.

My thoughts exactly. They don't HAVE to do jack.
IMO though, it would be better if they had a list of cigars that DO fall under the promo so a bum could shop from that list. Picking several cigars just to find every one you wanted is excluded from the discount is frustrating, however shopping directly from a discount list is a totally different story. That's more like fun. There might be such a list but I didn't notice it.

Yeah I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the jar of Tat Black CGs I just got from Famous with the 15% discount.
