With the exception of the Punch, MUWAT, and Chillin' Too all of theses are basically replacement 5vers for cigars I have just run out of or have only 1 left. So it's not taking up much more room. Can't wait to try the new ones though, especially the Punch Rare Corojos, I hear good things.

The Punch Rare Corojo is a very good cigar. They are amazing with a year or two of age on them as well.

Did not care for the Chillin Moose Too, which is odd as I usually like maduro anything over other options. I just prefer the originals.

I noticed that my humidors were getting a little sparse so I did a quick inventory and discovered that my stash had dipped below 100, and that includes the 21 I just rolled last weekend and a handful of minis which shouldn't really count. I try to keep it between the control limits of 100 and 150, so naturally a trip to the devil site was in order.

While downtown participating in a dio de los muertos parade we were right by Bobalu's cigar shop so I had to stop in for a hand rolled Sumatran smoke. They were out of my favorite Corona so I chose a Toro. I always sniff on these cigars when I get them but this one didn't seem so aromatic.

Picked up a few Anejos at my local shop. They didn't get as many as they usually do this year, so they didn't even put them out on display. They had 4-5 boxes and when I arrived they waived me into the smaller of the 2 walk ins and gave me a crack at them. Only 3 per customer for now, so I picked up 2 Sharks and one 888.

Hopefully I'll be able to snag a few more before they're gone.

I know I can get them online, but prices there are crazy. My shop has them at very nice prices. I believe I got the Sharks for $13.25 each.

I would take a picture of it, but it's such a mess right now. It's just a 34 bottle Vinotemp that used to have drawers, which I ditched (for now) in favor of cedar shelves that fit more boxes.

I sure do. They were the first Don Pepin Garcia cigars I smoked, and continued to smoke until, sadly they were discontined several years ago. Just recently back in production, I grabbed two boxes, smoked those, got two more,one at a time, smoked those and just got on friday one more box. Still my favourite "go to" NC smoke.
Looking forward to hearing how you like it.

Yes, I agree, and I guess all the new regulation with taxes and so forth has probably made an impact on what they now have to charge. Oh, very good. I know of just two in that group. The La Duena, which I also found a recent new one to be a little less rich than I fondly remember, so also am letting the remaining four rest. And the Oliva CT Reserve is a nice smooth stick. Can't remember if a little green ROTT as many CT's can be, but if so, will disappear with a little rest (I think!). Maybe I'll smoke one I've had a few years and see what's up. Good luck with all of 'em and let us know how it goes.

The La Barba is a nice smoke. The one I had seemed one dimensional but good. I need to try another to make a better judgement. Never had the other two. The original HR (brown/gold band) is an awesome smoke!

Have a new job promoting beer and while at a Spec’s liquor store grand opening I overheard a fellow with their cigar booth saying they had a 2 for $5 deal. So after I was finished I stopped by and asked. As it turned out the offer was for two old fashioned glasses with cubes, a mini Bic in each glass, along with 2 two packs of cigars for $5. What?!?! Seriously?!?! Where do I pay?

Granted the smokes aren’t something spectacular I did get a Flor de Oliva Maduro Corona, 2 J.C. Newman #49 Coronas, and a J.C. Newman #99 Churchill.

Curious if someone can tell me a little about the JC’s as I didn’t find much info on them.

I got the second throw outs with both as well, which is fine as they both claimed it was as due to leaf discoloration. I’m not so aesthetically pleasing myself and could be called fourth throw out I suppose, even more so if I make face. I was more curious about strength as I don’t care for needing an abrupt nap or some such, but also what others may have thought who’ve tried them. No real info seems to come up from my searches, which often feel much more like the old Bing commercials where you get everything but what you’re looking for.

I usually stop at local dealers and grab a few sticks, I did go on the Devils Site Monday though and nabbed some Oliva Melanio's and Man O' War Puro Authentico's.

I panicked when I grabbed for a Puro Authentico the other day and realized it was my last one!

I like to keep those handy.

My Father is enjoying sticks with me now, so I think I'm going to have to start upping my stick count in storage...

I can't say for sure, because I let mine rest a few months before lighting up. But in general, I think smaller vitolas like coronas can be smoked more easily ROTT because they typically won't have the burn issues of bigger cigars. I'd still give it a couple of weeks to let the wrapper settle down. You can always dry-box it for a couple of days, too.

Be careful. That cigar is mightier than it appears. I'm rarely shaken by nicotine, but that one had me pretty buzzed. I think it's 100% ligero. Perfect after dinner smoke.
