I had already bought 8 from the box and figured I might as well buy the remainder along with getting the box and put them all in the cooler. I also grabbed 4 Opus X Perfecxion #4 and the owner gave me 10% off on those also. Still stocking up on short winter smokes.

I had the day off and decided to spend it trying to hunt down Eye off the Sharks across East TN. I stopped in a B&M in Johnson City, TN called Libation Station. They had tons of craft beer and an awesome humidor with lounge. Nicer IMO than anything in Knoxville. No luck on the EOTS, but the owner was very nice and had plenty of Opus X petit Lanceros, Perfecxion #4s, unnamed reserves, anejo 888 and Rosados all a buck or two under MSRP. Things may have gotten out of hand. He was also unpacking his shipment of Johnny Tobacconaut so I snagged two of those as well. Fuente count was, 20 PL, 10 #4, 5 888, 2 unnamed reserves, 5 rosado robusto. Happy Fuente Friday.

I attended Fuente Toast Across America event today at my local B&M. The price of admission included Opus X Shark and Julius Caesar Shark plus a choice of cigar. I picked myself a Julius Caesar Robusto. On top of that, bought myself a Don Carlos Personal Reserve Robusto, Anejo Shark, 888, and two 46. All in all, a very good day! :)

Fine looking selection there, that Sosa 60 is a healthy looking cigar, makes the Paul Stulac Ghost at its size look kinda slim, the Tortuga on the other hand wearing all that Cedar looks a real heavyweight, well dressed for a cold day. Its the Connitecut wrapper Intemperance EC Faith, the filter makes them look darker than they are, the EC are the only ones I havent had in the core line and got a few diffirent variations of the new Neanderthal en route hopefully its a San Andreas wrapper i aftually enjoy 😁

Took a road trip to Nice Ash cigars in Buffalo with my wife. Picked up these for me, and several for my secret santa kid. When the total rang up as $130 all my wife had to say was "Thats not as bad as I thought."

Not a purchase. We did christmas with my side of the family today as my father is on call on christmas day for work. So, every year we find a weekend before or after that works for everyone.

I got a small humidor. I know it won't hold humidity at all but it will make a nice box for cutters or any dry aged cigars I buy.

And try the tabak espacial it's a good flavored cigar. Just make sure you don't mix your flavored and normal sticks. Or you will have all flavored sticks. Lol. Read a lot of the sticks here and thee on forum there is a wealth of knowledge

Sounds good, right now I have one of those cheap Fuente branded bag humidors that I have been keeping my infused stuff in. I don't plan on trying to keep the flavored stuff around for very long so I figured that was an easy way to store them short term.

Nice, my local shop just got some in, gonna have to pick some up and give it a go. Haven't had any of the Crowned heads offerings with only the colored foot band but I've heard the past limited editions have been great! That and I'm a big fan of everything crowned heads offers!

The Tenessee Waltz is one of my favorite smokes. Wished I woulda known you hadn't tried them before the package went airborne today. I woulda fixed that for ya. For me, my order of favorite to least is the Waltz, Paniolo, then Rose. I don't know where these will fall in that lineup at. Hopefully near the top. Lol

Just to clarify for both of you, in case you weren't aware, the Las Mareas, which is the name of the currently blue banded CH cigar you're speaking of, isn't a Limited Release. The current release is a preview of what will become a production cigar for them. Also, the blue band that's currently on it won't be what's on the regular production cigars, just what they threw on for this preview.

Also, it's a different blend than the current state-exclusive cigars they make, ie the Waltz, Paniolo and Yellow Rose.

Just wanted to clarify.

This was a good deal for Monte's. 3 for $15, 1 each Classic, Monte and Platinum. More reasonable than their usual prices. Is VERY young, methinks, as the interior of the box smells strongly of paint, overwhelming the cedar.

Jesse, I recently learned Fuente dates the year of their boxes on the bottom. There are 2 sets of numbers, the one on the right is the year of manufacture code. You add that 2 digit # to 1980. For example, the 2015 boxes have 35 as the second number. 1980 + 35 = 2015. 34 would be 2014 etc.

LOL - there's a big antique shop a few doors down where I send the wife while I'm in the shop. And I usually have them get things into a bag quickly in case she shows up before I'm done and out. Better to see a bag than a big pile on the counter.

The Warren shop supplies the Buffalo one with all the cigars so they have it all. Those middle tables are stacked high with sealed boxes as that location handles all the shipping for the website. All that and probably around $2 +/- per STICK less than NYS pricing - it's heavenly !

Plus you might get to meet the famous AndyCAYP (well, if it's Mon-Fri between 11 and 4 because he's practically part time :poke::lol:)

It's a pain in the ass to get here from ANYWHERE! People don't realize just how much time is wasted leaving this county... I can't imagine how much quicker trips in and out would be if we had a half-decent thruway heading E-W and one going N-S.

Everybody was so sure that the railroad would be enough, so not a single thought was put into expanding the road network in this 1/6th of the state. Of course, all the railroads are gone now. Terrible planning, terrible foresight, and by the time the gov't wanted to dump any money on the interstate system, it all went to I-80 with nothing being funneled this way to make a decent connection.

Well why the heck can't they carry a better variety then. Lol. It's mostly the same cigars everywhere with a few unique selections at each. Lately a newer shop called Wise Guys has been getting better stuff in though. First time ive seen LP9 or T52 in a rochester shop.

I went to the Buffalo store for the first time a few weeks ago, really nice place. Like Dustin said so much more boutique selections that just aren't available in Roch or any where around me. I also met Greg, he was rolling his own line at the time and was really nice. We talked for more than a half hour and he answered all of my dumb questions and didnt laugh when I was butchering names and lines of cigars. Purchased 15 La Duena from Small Batch on Saturday afternoon. They showed up in my mail box Monday morning. Not only were the cigars a very good deal and the shipping unbelievably fast but they threw in a couple of very nice riders to go along with the order.
