this is the same Deadwood Tobacco Co. that collaborated with Drew Estate to offer the Sweet Jane, Crazy Alice, Leather Rose, Fat Bottom Betty, et. al.

Looks like a fun place to visit, if a Road-trip were in order. Just a little 8-9 hour voyage for me. Located in the beautiful and historic Black Hills.

Josh posted about the Namakubi 1/2 off and I just had to see if they are like the original blend. They've changed the wrapping (used to be black & red) and it is a longer cigar this time (5 1/2" vs 4 1/2"). I'll let you know. (Opening for Tony)

Made in Costa Rica, but little tobacco actually comes from Costa Rica, imported from elsewhere. Undisclosed blends.

It was explained to me that Nicaragua has a 5 year clause that tobacco has to be grown there for 5 years to be called “Nicaraguan” . Costa Rica doesn’t have this rule. The guy told me the old original AJF Pinolero was actually Cuban tobacco rolled in Nicaragua that had been held there for 5 years. IDK. Could be BS. Can’t get them anymore anyway.

They had some AF DC Eye of the Bull at $14.40 each. Closest I’ve seen to MSRP. Limit of 2. It was stated they smoke the same as other DC, but paying more due to scarcity for a smaller cigar. Not for me.

Yes, it is sad to see. The original owner passed away about 20 years ago, then his wife stepped up and his son began getting involved in the business. Mom passed away a couple of years ago and it was solely the sons turn. He is a nice guy, but has struggled with addiction problems for several years. Meth and alcohol don’t make a good business model.

I may have a couple of those in that Toymakers box from over the years, but very very rarely did they get anything from the Toy shop. But I quit buying more cigars basically 5 years ago. I have more than plenty to choose from.

May well have been ordered by Smokin Monkey, He either forgot ordering them or it's a test to see if I can be trusted t keep My paws off His smokes.
After a little more consideration I'm sure S.M. would not have forgotten ordering these, nor would He think that I'd smoke any of His Cigars without asking Him if if I could do.
Heck maybe I'm the one that ordered these, odd since they're not a size or brand I like. And I expected Smokin Monkey would've pulled them out of the Mailbox before I'd even know they were there.
Yeah that would mean I was hoping He'd not notice the better Cigars (white Owls) that arrived a week or so earlier and I'd quickly hidden away.

This is the second annual release of the LCA Reserva series. Each year, the cigar is made entirely of a single year’s crop of Cuban-seed corojo grown on Christian Eiroa’s farms in Honduras. The vintage year refers to the year the cigar was rolled, while the tobacco is from the crop three years earlier i.e. the crop for Vintage 2022 is from the 2019 season. The LCA Reserva series allows you to taste how different years’ tobacco crops change the smoking experience. Despite having the exact same blend, Vintage 2022 is certainly a different experience from Vintage 2021. “

Great price - have a couple on order myself.I got an email from cigars direct yesterday they wanted 300 for a regular box and 500 for a numbered I was like no way. And no one else showed them in stock. Checked the shops face book and they had them. I do t go there all the time, probably spend around 50 every other week or so. I stopped by asked how much for the box, he says for you 120, I said sold!

They hadn’t received a cigar shipment from Fuente for at least 6 months. An employee had embezzled over $90k from the business over a period of time and the owners mom passed away and her son mose dived into drugs and alcohol. I spoke to the son yesterday and he has been sober for about 4 months and is trying hard to pull it all together. He said he was surprised to get a shipment from Fuente because he owes them a lot of money. I am hoping they make it, but it’s going to take a while.

The updated green banded Vegas Cubanas wont have this size,may have a tweaked blend.
