Believe I had and enjoyed that Casa Fernandez (CF). CF and Aganorsa are the same brand, and I've enjoyed all the Aganorsas I've come across, but have only had maybe that one CF.

Went to the local B&M for the first time in awhile- the online prices are just soooo much better. But generally I do like to support local and the manager still remembered me. Had a great chat with a very friendly “regular” who walked me around the entire humidor like he worked there haha. Great experience, worth a few extra bucks once in awhile

The Monster series themselves are all pretty good cigars. Some better than others. Much of it is the marketing campaign around the Monster Theme, especially before October. Hype.
DogRockets is the resident Monster slayer. I wouldn’t say it is a must have, especially at these prices, other than trying several in the Monsters line.

Is the Monster theme cool as hell? - IMO, yes, more or less. Others may be inclined more yes for “collectibility” and some may say “whatever”

Is it gimmicky? - Yep

Are they good to very good cigars? - Yes

Is this a bargain or must have? - No

So I got a package today, thinking it may be my CHC Ser E. But instead it was a second Monster mash box, from the same retailer I got the first one from.

Hmm...

I called the shop and told them- the guy was very appreciative. I now have a decision to make... keep it at a discount, or send it back (on his dime) and he'll "throw in some cigars" with the other order I'm waiting on.

It's hard to give up something in-hand, but I'm tempted to put the money towards another purchase.

Not really a purchase, gifted, but lost track of how long ago, likely 5-6 weeks. intended to find some info on them before Thanksgiving. Didn't do that so it was only once I saw the pictures that I had any info. Smoked two surprised at the quality. Cigars Direct has them listed with a good deal of info.

Have been toying with the idea of joining COTM Club, as I love getting a package of unknown in advance, surprise smokes, and I see people post some pretty good stuff from theirs, but there's so many to choose from, and everyone always says they are happy with their chosen COTM, so I haven't pulled the trigger.

Really seems like I wouldn't be disappointed in any one I chose...

Decisions, decisions...

I might be down for a Le Patissier split.
As I said to Tony, this months budget is tapped out. However, sometime after the 1st of the year, when the wallet isn’t getting hit with Christmas presents. I will be looking to do a few box purchases, as well as a few splits.

I’ll give a heads up, beforehand.

Mine doesn't get a lot of Fuente, but they have good prices. They won't ship, but I will keep and eye out for you in case I can help. I will be by there again tomorrow and he should have his new shipment in the humidor by then. He was just processing it when I was there. I think he got some Eye of the Sharks if your interested. Came in Saturday.
All too often I take too long to post shortly after buying something that often leaves Me wondering how the heck I'm seeing more of a brand or size than i can account for.
Haven't smoked more than a handful of Dominicans lately. Smoked and liked some other DBL cigars and figured the Del Rey Habanos at 5x50 might be a good choice in this cold weather.
No longer have a gauge but these cigars look more like a 47 or 48 ring gauge to me.

Ditto for me too if you don't mind messaging me the details also.

For $20/mo, for that caliber of smokes, I would would highly likely finally pull the trigger on it for a COTM Club. Everywhere else I see people using is in the $30-$40 range (not that that's a bad price for what I see people receiving)

I was navy from 2001 to 2009, and would love to get a box of those, even if the cigars sucked. Would love it if you could pm me info on where you got them from

Would be a great addition to my little bit of navy memorabilia decorating my room, and being navy and cigar related at once is perfect.

Do have one navy cigar that was made for a special event at someone's shop, and was generously gifted her last navy one, plus 2 Marines to smoke, although I gave one to a cool, old Vietnam Veteran Marine who is a pipe smoker but occassionally has a cigarillo. Put a big smile on his face, and he plans to hang on to it.

He even introduced me to his son when he visited recently and told him I was the vet who gave it to him, so he must have shown it off.

The kind lady who sent them to me was also very happy she helped make a combat vets day.

And good on your son for serving, especially in the best branch of the military.

I'm sure he will love it. I certainly did and would have stayed the full 20 years if my knees hadn't gone bad and was not allowed to reenlist.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNice. My mother refuses to encourage my cigar smoking, even though I have explained that you don't inhale the smoke, and sent links to like a half dozen peer reviewed studies, showing cigar smoking poses no additional health risks.

She did combine her Christmas money with my sisters, and everything on my list was cigar related, so I'm guessing she didn't know what she was helping to buy me, lol


Your mom has excellent taste in cigars. I see a lot of real winners in there.
