Was putting my new tin of devil's holiday in a jar and just didn't want to write on the lid to name is so I did this. Might be overkill but I like how they look.1426

I used to do that but then I made my first "real" tobacco order and I didn't want to peel the labels off of 50 tins of tobacco lol. I definitely like seeing the original label though as opposed to a piece of masking tape written on with a sharpie.

Your jars must be possessed.
Looks better than a sharpie for sure.
Those look nice. I just place a dissolvable label on the side of mine and write in the tobacco name. Now they're going to look shabby.

I've seen some really cool things done when labeling canning jars...A lot of cool things on reddit.
I am from the sharpie on masking tape camp myself. Mainly because I am lazy :p

It certainly makes them more identifiable at a glance. :eagerness:

I'm not sure gluing them to the ceiling will help them age any better! :p
I'll do something similar, if I'm jarring up something with a removable label (like a McClelland tin).
Bulk baccy gets a blank address label and the ol' Sharpie.
I've not tried to peel off those kinds of labels. Do they come off easily? Man, now I'm going to be picking at my tobacco labels like an old scab!

really easy, Just heat the under side of lid with a lighter to soften the glue. Peels right off!

It definitely looks nice but I probably won't put forth the effort. lol
My stash is in a box in a corner so I'll be lazy. I do have a digital label maker I need to dig out of the shop. That would look neater than the sharpie.
If I ever get out of this damn apartment and have a man cave again where I can have them out in somewhat of a display, I'll probably copy you there.

Labels AND anti-gravity. Those are some spectacular jars!

Love the method and i've tried it myself but some tins are a pain to peel without tearing. Sam Gawith in particular comes to mind.

I do dat too. Looks good for the pouches whose labels I cut off. I also clip the labels off of the plastic baggies that my bulk purchases come it, and tape them on the jars. But most of my stash is homemade flake, so it's white tape and sharpie labels mostly.
