Carved or smooth; inside or outside or both?

Outside is carved,,I;m worried about the cake building up and cracking it fro the inside.

I just wipe the bowl out after every smoke.

:imwithstupid: While it is still warm I just wipe the bowl out with a paper towel.

Mine is pretty cruded,,would it be good to us sandpaper or a s/a soak?

Do not use S/A treatment in a meer. Sandpaper is fine, but try not to remove any actual Meerschaum.

I will give it a go with sand paper ,fine grain at that.
