It's almost midnight, beginning of March 23rd, and this sale is still on so I'm giving this thread a bump.

I tried some samples of three Gawith Hoggarth mixtures this weekend (ironically just received from P&C) and I liked two of them. I was going to wait to order them but at 25% off, I'm placing another order with WWW.PipeTobacco.Com.

I have no affiliation with this company but I have purchased from them twice before this sale (and now twice more) and was very satisfied. The prices are as low as $38.50 for a full 500 grams (17.6 ounces or 1.1-lbs). OK, I ain't selling, I'm reminding.

Hi Tim,

How fortunate that I have a touchscreen Chromebook! After another substantial order from PipeTobacco I've been squeezed into a straight jacket.

Fools thought to tamper with my TAD! I can navigate by voice and with my nose and another order will soon be a-coming!

I received my order from PipeTobacco.Com today. 7 boxes and 1 bag of Gawith Hoggarth were correct along with a pound of Balkan Sasieni but instead of 8oz each of Mixture #965 and MacBaren's Virginia there were tins, 50 grams of the former and 100 grams of the latter.

I called them and they were helpful, apologetic and said that they'd ship out the correct 80z bags immediately and told me to keep the tins.

Not the way I'd want to get a present but the customer service was solid and I'm a happy camper.

Can't complain when they tell you to keep their screw up.

I have dealt with some companies who would expect you to ship back their screw up before they would give you what you paid for...

I offered to send it back but Dan took responsibility and said to keep it.

I've been pleased with them. They ship Gawith Hoggarth in factory packages, bags or boxes, so that the flakes stay flakes. I received my second order from the sale today and everything was correct. I may yet place a third order (sale is still ongoing) even though I now have enough tobacco to last 10 years. Call me an optimist, call me an idiot or call me both but you guys understand it's just a serious case of TAD and some free cash.

Hi Matt,

I've only smoked 5 bowls but I liked it well enough to buy more. Not a deeply nuanced mixture but it has nice flavor and good latakia pop without overwhelming the Virgnia so there's a sweet line in there. Tinned more moist than I generally like but it has burned well and both smoke and burn are mostly consistent to the finish.

Today I received the 8oz bags of MacBaren Virginia and Dunhill Mixture #965. Can't ask for more than that.

I was just on their site and they are selling out of a lot of Gawith Hoggarth bulks, possibly due to the merger of Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth (after exactly 150 years of being separate entities). I suspect that there'll be new packaging but also possible price increases and change in quality. Never say never.

I just counted and found that I'm missing a hole in the head so I'm headed back there for one last order because of the above, lots of reasons to cellar tobacco but mainly the price.
