Date: 3/15/15
Tobacco: Samuel Gawith 1792 Flake
Age: Unknown
Blend Contents: Virginia Based
Pipe: Missouri Meershaum Easton
Tin Note: I can’t describe it. Pungent; I guess that’s the tonquin
Prep: rubbed out some of the more broken pieces of the flake. Did not dry it out any more.

Notes:
Round one: 3/10/15
So my wife and kids are out of town for the rest of the week. You may have noticed the smoking rate has gone up!
I got this as a sample from Tony78.
This is my first time smoking 1792. I’m not sure what I think. There is supposed to be whisky, but I’m not picking up any. Obviously, there is tonquin.
This one doesn’t want to stay lit, so I’m puffing more than I should. I’m getting some tongue and roof bite.
After the first bit of puffing, I set the pipe aside for a few minutes.
Fifteen minutes later, still biting.
I’ve been eating really hot wings and drinking a Stone IPA this evening, and already smoked three other tobaccos. I think my palate is shot!
I’ll come back and update the next time I try this one.

Round two: 3/15/15
I’ve never had a tonquin-flavored anything, but now I never want to.
Less bitey this time, but I still don’t like the flavor. It is just unappealing to me.
The tobacco is good. I even get a bit of virginia, but the tonquin is just not for me.
