Tobacco: MacBaren Symphony
Age: Unknown
Blend Contents: Burley, Cavendish, Virginia
Pipe: Savinelli Roma 626
Tin Note: Plums with a bit of cocoa.
Prep: Straight out of the sample baggie. Frank method. Not straight out of the tin.
Notes:
I also received this as a sampler from Tony78.
This tobacco is straightforward. Earthy, but not “forest floor” earthy. More of a woody earthy.
I pick up hints of cocoa and some nuttiness.
There was a little bitterness on the sides of my tongue, but no bite.
I did have one weird thing happen.
At one point, I set the pipe down and it basically sent out. I did some quick puffing to try to ignite it. It did not catch, but I got a distinct blast of orange that went away as quickly as it came.
This didn’t strike me as a tobacco I want to stock, but it was interesting to try.
