Tobacco: Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader
Age: Unknown
Blend Contents: Latakia, Oriental/Turkish, Virginia
Pipe: Missouri Meershaum
Tin Note: Smokey
Prep: Straight out of the sample baggie. Maybe on the dry side.
Notes:
I got this as a sample from Tony78.
The word I would use to describe this tobacco is “light.”
The smoke has a thinner mouthfeel than the tobaccos I am used to.
The smokiness is light. Yes, the campfire BBQ is there, but not powerful.
There is a barely-detectable sweetness.
The ash is an even mix of white, gray, and almost-black.
Other than that, I don’t have much to say about it; so I guess you can say this review is on the “light” side!
If you are looking for a light smoke, and enjoy latakia, (or if you are wanting to get into latakia/English blends) give this one a try.
