Save those cigar boxes

Here's something you can do with those coveted/treasured cigar boxes you've been hoarding in your closet (Sean), and appreciate them daily.
I came home from a business trip recently to find this on my desk. My wonderful wife made it for my birthday. She didn't want to tip her hand by asking if she could use my cache, so she went to my local B&M, where they were all to happy to load her up for the small price of a picture of the finished product.

I was going to make one of those for my lounge when I build my house. That and a couple side tables. I had an idea for a glass top table that lifts up to store/show my pipes. I am always looking for boxes and one B&M we go to gives me a box every time I go it seems like. I really want a couple Liga Boxes, but they never have them.

That is awesome! I had never thought to make a Lamp out of boxes. However my favorite local B&M has mad pedestals for the ashtrays next to all of the chairs. They even mad a table completely out of boxes. it looks really cool but because they are all different shapes and sizes the surface is really uneven. They should have mad a glass top to go over it to make a smooth surface.
