I have heard many on BOTL talk about Smallbatchcigar and I've known someone who has ordered from them before with nothing but great things to say. I had to check it out for myself. I went to the website and noticed they had a few Viaje cigars. I have never had a Viaje and wanted to try some. But they didn't have a sampler. So I emailed them on a Saturday asking if they could make a sampler with some of the Viaje cigars they had. Within an hour I received a response that said they would see what they could do. And later that night I received another email telling me the sampler I requested had been created! How awesome is that?!?

If you are looking to place an order today consider hitting up Smallbatchcigar. WOW! I'm sold on them. What a great retailer!

There is a link if you'd like to buy it. It'd be cool if we got this sampler sold out in a day as a way to say thanks for making it!

I love those guys. Super quick responses and shipping, and everything is always packaged up really well too. They also did me a favor like that on a shipping request, and I really appreciate them. I've got two places I try to do all my buying from and they're one of them.

I've used them a few times with nothing short of excellent service. They are quickly becoming a goto online store for me.

*And I went ahead and bought a sampler just because they put it together.

I sent Andrew an email a few weeks ago asking how soon he was going to have more of a specific brand in stock. I got an email the next day with a link to the last 4 he had so I could buy them.

Andrew is a solid guy. Herfed with him when I was in SoCal a few weeks ago. If you like the stock they carry, I would suggest sending Andrew an email asking for a blind sampler. I haven't seen anyone walking away disappointed (myself included).

Andrew and Small Batch are a class act. They invested in our previous community and are doing the same here at the BUM. I highly recommend them and all the other retailers that support our new home.

They have blind samplers listed online from $30-$60 per fiver. Can even request a specific size in the comments.

I've only placed two orders with them so far, but the speed of processing and shipping has been by far the best of all the online vendors

I love small batch! They are my favorite online retailer, and if I place my order before they head to the post office I get them within 18 hours of placing my order.

Good prices, incredible customer service, and mind boggling shipping. What more could you ask for?

They're by far the best vendor to deal with IMO. Andrew is a great guy and a true BOTL. I've never heard of anyone having anything other than an excellent experience with them.

Surprised they didn't have a Viaje sampler already available, must have been sold out. I know they've offered one in the past.

Andrew / Small Batch come through again. I emailed them about a brand that was not shown on their site, Paul Garmirian. I almost immediately received a response saying that they have them and would check on what I was looking for and get back to me. I had to go out for awhile, but when I got back an hour or so later, there was a response from Andrew. They had what I was looking for and he had set it up for me to check out. Within 20 minutes, I place an order for a $305 box of cigars and received a 20% discount w/free shipping! That is amazing service! They just moved from my #4 (once and awhile) vendor to my #1 (check them first) vendor.

I should get the box in about 5 days.

They always seem to find what you need even if it's not on the site. I herf at the store often and they typically allow me to pickup in person and pay in cash to avoid having a charge on my CC and the wife knowing about it!!

If I buy NC's its from SmallBatch. I wanted a box of something that was only being sold in 5 packs so they put up a box for me to buy. Super fast shipping too. They will continue to get all of my business. *I haven't used my Atlantic VIP in 6 months because of them*

This just happened:

Ordered from Smallbatch last week. Package arrived today at 3:00 PDT. Wrong cigars were sent:right brand, wrong vitola. I emailed Andrew about 3:15 PDT. Correct cigars were boxed and shipped before EOB. I offered to send back the wrong ones and he refused them.

That's Customer Service!

I recieved my first order from them today. Was a little slow on delivery but that was clearly an issue with the USPS and not their fault as my order was shipped within hours of it being placed. Packaging was great and a small boveda pack as well.

I will most certainly order from small batch again!!

Jeremy, why do you feel we all should buy the sampler? You wanted it, SB hooked you up so there is no need to be the cheerleader Viaje sampler salesman. You ask for it, you named it, so if you feel it that important for them to sell, buy them fer Christs sake.

Yes, I am having a wonderful day!

Guess I'm one of the few who have no love for small-batch. I never buy multiples of anything that I haven't already smoked. That is to say, if I can't buy and enjoy a single of something (eg., on Cbid or at a B&M), then I'm sure as h*ll not going to buy a 5-pack (or more) of it.

Made that mistake aplenty, and no more. Can't tell you how many times I've hurled in the trash 4 cigars out of a 5-pack.

And I don't trust the taste buds of anybody but me. Made that mistake aplenty as well :/

And since the stuff on small batch is limited-run, the chances of me finding it in a B&M are small. And if I find it on Cbid, I'll probably just buy it on Cbid since they usually have the lowest prices anywhere.

Billb1960
03-14-2015, 07:59 AM
Andrew in the past has expressed his willingness to put samplers together upon request but hey if Smallbatch isn't for you that's fine too. Regardless his customer service is second to none. I just received the replacement cigars from the order they screwed up and there was an extra cigar thrown in.

I don't understand what this has to do with smallbatch in particular, and especially their customer service which is mostly what people are talking about in this thread. Seems like what you're saying would broadly apply to any site that doesn't sell singles or samplers.

Or are you saying you had a poor experience buying from smallbatch?

Not saying that, and your attempt to control my posts to conform to some sort of "I love small batch" group-think is really quite shameful. I don't appreciate it at all.

At no place does the OP say that he he wants to restrict posters in this thread to only comment on small batch's customer service. It seemed to be a general opinion thread and I figured I'd contribute mine. I don't give two sh*ts whether anybody else agrees with it or not.

I don't care for small batch for the reasons I specified. And yes, my opinion could pertain to other retailers. If somebody starts a thread about those other retailers, perhaps I'll post that opinion in those threads as well.

Hope that's ok with you :)

OK, I just had to go back and dig up this old thread. I placed an order with SmallBatch on Saturday at about 2 pm. It had shipped and I had a tracking number in an hour and a half. My 5er of AF Short Story and another of AF Work or Art made it from California to Ohio and I had them by 1 pm on Monday. Perfect condition, 10% discount for Bums, free shipping, and a Boveda pack to boot. I think even USPS routes them faster for SmallBatch.

OK, so I don’t go there for singles, but they do have 5ers and 4 packs of some stuff that you just can’t find for the price. They may even beat Amazon to the drone delivery :)
