I have made around 6 or 7 new posts that just disappeared. What's going on?
Also, This forum doesn't seem to send email alerts when new posts are made, like puff, com did.
I am a little miffed over the missing posts, because I spent a little time on them. Did a Moderator cut them, or is there something wrong with the posting software????

Well I can't help you with the missing posts. That is too bad. Hopefully someone can chime in for that.
As far as the email alerts; you can fix this.
Go to "Settings" on the top menu bar, then from the left panel under My Settings, select "General Settings". From there find "Default Thread Subscription Mode", in the drop-down menu box select the option you want, whether it is through email instantly, daily, weekly; or through your control panel; i.e. Settings.

I've found a number of my posts missing as well. Since most of those were posted via my Ipad I just figured it was an issue on my end.

What part of the forum were you posting in?
I can take a look.
I do know we were changing some user permissions last night and with resetting the system it might have effected posting.

Very odd indeed, were you guys using Tapatalk? Could of been a compatibility issue while the mods were updating things.

I started a new topic called "New Tobaccos", and it just disappeared and never posted. I posted on Meer Madness with a picture, and it never posted. There were several new posts on topics I previously posted on, that I was not notified of, as well as 2 Private Messages.
I realize that this is new, and may have some teething problems, but it is a little aggravating to spend 30 minutes taking pictures and crafting a well-thought out post only to have it disappear into the ether.

Thanks for the info. I went in a re-did everything.
I had done all of that already, when I first came here, but somehow it all went back to what i guess are the default settings.
Weird.

My PM quota suddenly reset thru the floor as well. IDK what it was before but it's now 50. Had to delete like 75 messages in order to be able to send just 1.

I use a MacBook Air with Yosemite OS. Could that be a problem?

Guys, a system reset of sorts took place yesterday regarding member status when we rolled out the new restrictions for the Habanos forum. In order for all existing members to have continued access, and yet keep new members from seeing these forums we had to, in a way, reassign members into categories. I imagine this may have something to do with the reset of settings and PM boxes, etc. Dave and Rich will be working the kinks out. Thanks for being patient with us!
Dave.73 - let me know if I'm completely in left-field here, but this sounds like it could be related?

The more details you can give, the better. I'm checking the DB and I dont see anything missing at the DB level. I show 25 post records the same as it says next to your post bit. What forum(s) were your missing posts in? Was it via web or via Tapatalk? Anything you can tell me will assist my researching it.

I cant say for sure. I can tell you that Ive had no issues posting, myself. Can anyone else who is missing any posts please chime in with more info? Im looking in the DB, and dont even see missing postids (meaning, no deleted records), so the posts you're talking about never made it to the database.
