View Full Version : Ready for the Slav Luncheon today

Every other Wednesday all of the Growers and AG industry people in my area put on a big Grower sponsored Men's BBQ for lunch (all you can eat and drink, for 250+ guys) it is usually used as a way to thank customers and suppliers for all the hard work throughout the year.

I have been attending these Luncheons for about 3 years and it usually ends with a bunch of the old guys sitting around drinking, smoking cigars, and telling stories. So as soon as I had made it into that group they eventually learned that Cigars are one of my hobbies and that I love to share, So now I have become the cigar guy for 3 of the Luncheons.

So here is today's selection. I don't think they will be disappointed...

We had huge cuts of Top Sirloin cooked over grape wood, and the traditional Salad, pasta, and sauerkraut. and lots of good wine. (maybe too much wine, I am feeling it today.) Followed by some great games of drunken bocce ball.

Well you are in luck. there is a small public course right next to the airport. But most of the guys end up driving back to Bakersfield to play. My boss has a standing tee time at Bakersfield Country Club every Wednesday after the slav club.

I almost forgot about what i ended up smoking. I started off with the l'atelier specially selected, then the las calaveras, and finished with the cuatro cinco. I was going to get one more in but I didn't want to waste a Shark or the Casa Fuente, since i was pretty lit
