I have strange tastes and I've been smoking CAO for about 10 years (as a cigar), so it was only natural I'd like them as a pipe tobacco.
First I'll start with the general discription:
Discription: CAO Black is a unique aromatic blend. The tobacco has a rich and tangy raspberry note, with a subtle undercurrent of creamy vanilla and cocoa, giving it a sweet and smooth flavor. Best of all, it's one of the most gentle-smoking blends you're likely to try. For a bite-free, blend with a great aroma, you've got to try CAO Black.
I have had A LOT of aromatics and this one was potent, wet and smelled nothing like what I thought (in a good way). I would compare it to the Drew Estate central park stroll. You can actually open both tins, wear a blindfold and you cant tell which one is which, but when you smoke them they are very different. The aroma of vanilla really comes out in CAO, leaving a very strong "fresh baked cookies or smores" smell in the room.
It starts out the flavor comes on subtle and grows from there, but as you get used to it it doesnt seem that powerful. But for me I enjoy the flavor too much where sometimes I drool a little much haha.
Overall, its your typical aromatic, but dont judge it by its unburned smell, it doesnt have that typical cheap vanilla flavor that most aromatics are known for.
