Prelight: This is a unique looking cigar with two wrappers in one. The head has a Criollo wrapper while the main body is Ecuadorian shade-grown. The wrapper combo smells floral and woody and is devoid of veins. The foot has the same floral/wood scent as the wrapper. After a punch, the draw is right where I like it and the taste is pretty much the same as the scent. Besides the dual wrapper, this cigar seems pretty simplistic.

1/3: There is definitely a lot of black pepper coming off this stick at the onset. A woody flavor increases as the cigar progresses, which is also joined with some slight cream and coffee flavors. As the latter flavors increase, the pepper fades and this cigar also increases in deliciousness.

2/3: The second third begins with coffee and wood, and just a bit of sweet chocolate. The burn is great (albeit not perfect) and the ash is dense and light grey. A floral taste also comes into play to my enjoyment, but is very light. The majority of flavors are coffee, chocolate, cream and wood. But, at the transition to the Criollo wrapper, I get a strong floral hit.

3/3: The nub, after the change to the darker wrapper, is all creamy wood. At the very end – near finger-burning location – the floral taste comes back and ends the cigar on an extremely tasty note.
Overall: This is quite possibly my favorite Nicaraguan cigar. This cigar has spice, sweetness and complexity. The construction is great, and moreover, the price is right. Definitely give this cigar a try.
